This Vampires release is okay, but I miss the version that ends with Jer and the DJs talking about if the label's gonna sue them for playing too much of it.

Indeed... definitely a rough vocal, as the email says, but I'm digging the passion of it. A couple really nice vocal flourishes in there.

Haven't seen the Curve liner notes, but I will say I love good art direction for an album. Spiritual Machines feels like it could be its own damn art installation somewhere, if it were big enough. Always like Happiness too.

So I just listened to Heavyweight for the first time today. As much as I loved this band, the last few albums have just totally lacked any inspiration to me. And now, I can't believe this is the same band. Totally blew me away. I guess I am going to keep buying their albums!

God, I remember the lead-up to SM. The official site was playing clips from Life and maybe In Repair and I would just listen to them over and over and over again. I was so stoked. And then it came out and I just fell in love immediately.
