But remastering can make a huge difference. Listen to 4AM or One Man Army on the A Decade CD vs the originals. Huge difference. Some sounds were brought out more prominently, etc. Not saying that is the norm, but it definitely can be a difference.
Not trying to sound anal here but 4 a.m. on A Decade was actually a new mix, which is different from remastering. I know what you mean in terms of it making a huge difference in bringing certain things out though, sometimes it can help the sonic qualities and boost clarity of things quite a bit so that you hear things that were previously more difficult to in other mastered versions. Was One Man Army a new mix too or was it simply remastered as well, does anybody know?
