Honestly from the tone of his voice in every interview and from what he said in this most recent one.... I don't really think Raine is feelin' it so much either.

Yeah, I dunno how I feel about "Knives".

It's not bad. Just not awesome.

Trying to throw a few out there from HW:

Smoke Signals
Urban Grinds

I dunno...

Haha, well, anything that would make me forget about Rocky V gets me vote.

So is the bands trying to return to their roots or reinvent themselves with this album?

I don't think its really either of those. I think its more or less making music they want to listen to.

Ya, they've said that in almost every interview, about making music they want to hear. I think from the fans perspective it will seem like a mix of the old with the new, but that's less about the guys writing songs that way, and more just about the natural evolution of OLP. Every record has built upon the experiences of what came before it, from the Lanni days, through Rock and up to now. I feel like they'll take what they learned on Burn Burn, and use that to make something greater.

So is "making music we want to listen to" the new "just four guys in a room?"

The weird colorless cousins must must must make the CD.

I just listened to Window Seat from Bob's Christmas gifts to us.. WOW! I love everything about the vibe and Raine's lyrics/voice.. I hope it makes the cd or sees the light of day somehow. Even though Steve was still figuring things out, it was cool. There should really be a B-side's after this new release. I've loved every song/ idea we've heard.

Didn't anyone see Steve's tweet from twoish weeks ago?

Doing guitars on an OLP song called "Window Seat". Different for us. Chords move in an angular way. Time signatures shift. Dark colors.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna make the album.
