Re: As Fast As You Can
Not crazy about the song, but it's certainly catchy. And the artwork is cool.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

Re: As Fast As You Can
Am I the only one hearing this a lot on the radio? I wonder how it's faring in other cities.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong
~4am~

If this had airplay over here in the UK I could see it doing very well.

I'm following the FM 96 page on Facebook because when I was growing up it came in across the lake and they must be playing it a lot there also because for the 3rd night in a row it's won their battle of new rock and it's in the running for tomorrows weekly Top 20!! http://www.fm96.com/Top20.aspx
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Agreed! It kinda made me wonder why they're doing another vid actually... the work was so good, and different to have a lyric vid for a change.
Re: As Fast As You Can
I love the concept of lyric videos very much. I think it helps the music spread to more people. For example, I have many Turkish friends who have difficulty understanding English, but I can share a video like this with them and they appreciate the music more because they understand it more. Perhaps this wasn't the intention of the guys when they released it, but turns out to be a good marketing strategy, imo. Plus, adding another "proper" video afterwards gives them more exposure as well. Maybe OLP isn't as savvy as a few other bands when it comes to internet marketing, but I like some of the things they are doing with Curve.

Thats a really great point Ken, and I know heaps of people who learn (or assist their learning) another language through songs!
I need to pull my finger our and start emailing stations to request - even though I don't listen to radio much!

very odd, different video. The outfit Raine has on is strangely familiar too. Did he wear that in a video around the Clumsy era?

Re: As Fast As You Can
I like the stylisation of the video (grainy is the best word I can use to describe, but doesn't sound "good")
I think there are also some hilarious moments - like when the guy in the lime green speedos is grinding on someone and then the next shot is of the girl on the phone - her face is priceless! The cut is perfectly timed! And I like that there isn't exactly a "story" going on in the clip - sometimes that kind of video can detract from the music. I feel like the video makes the music shine in this example.
Any one know how we can request it on Much? I tweeted them but there doesn't seem to be a way on their website....
