Trustworthy....no offense to you, but I think that graphic was perfect. You've been drinking way too much of the OLP Kool-Aid. The songs on this album are pretty damn good, but the production is f-ing horrible. It's not polished at all. If I crank it up too loud in my car/ipod/Studio monitors it ...

I do definitely like it. Don't get me wrong on that. I'm not sure where they get the "raw" description they were using. They probably needed an HD3 or 4 for all the DSP and tracks on this album!

um, nope

Well that was sort of an exaggeration assuming most people wouldn't know what that ...

I can see definite replay value here. Escape Artist, White Flags, Refuge, Monkey Brains...they are fantastic. The only one I find myself skipping is Signs of Life.

I agree. Those songs are great. I also Like Paper Moon and The End Is Where We Begin....but I'm definitely not blown away. Didn't ...

I'm a mix engineer. I heard some oddities in the mixes too. Odd production decisions probably more than anything.

I think it's funny to read all the heat they're getting on their myspace comment about the stream. I really don't understand why it's only for people in Canada.

People in Canada ...

There are fair use rules as far as that kind of stuff goes. In fact, if it's for a college project or something along those lines I don't believe you need any kind of permission. Especially if it's not for profit.

Hope that helps.

Well it's not new..but the demo is....it's called Paranoid....it's a different direction than the other one....I've been working pretty hard tweaking it...and it still has a long way to go..but feedback is always good!

New Song

I don't know how many of you guys play/write music....but you know those times where something just comes out...like a stream of consciousness.....not even neccesarily yours...it's like the collective thought of people all over the world or something like that?

I felt like I had something like ...

Very interesting subject. Especially since i've been getting an RFID company off of the ground for the last 2 to 3 years.

The examples that fuel this forum are severe extremes, and in the case of the technology...the technology itself is nowhere near able to do those things yet. The patents filed ...

I actually work in the music industry....and I won't name any names, but remember that Ashley Simpson performance? Almost every established band is doing that to one degree or another. Some bands rely on it exclusively..and some bands just use certain parts for overdubs.

I won't go into who uses ...

Raine's live mic setup

Does anyone know what Mic Raine uses on stage? I'm going to start working on new vocal rigs for live performances and I was curious.

Any preamps would be helpful too.

Al Genina from .cc sounds perfect to me.......umm A/L/S has some problems but you can make it work. I covered them in the undress your soul area. I need to put the new live studio version of Al up..it's really good I think.

BUT that said...the band doesn't care WHEN the cd comes out. They don't even really have that much of a say. It's all figured out by marketing departments and what not.

That's funny. Have you talked to them? Some of us have. But that's already been stated. I just had to comment on it cos I love ...
