In my opinion Standing On the Shoulder of Giants is probably Oasis' worst album. There's a couple of ok songs on it, but nothing that really stands out. So I deffinitly wouldn't judge them by that album. If you like the electronic sound of Oasis with the drum loops check out the songs "The Cage ...

Let me change my last statement Nikki
If Sony thinks a anti Bush song sung by OLP will be played on US radio, they are mistaken. Wipe would get a lot less US radio play than either WAY Or Angels. And they barely were played

I disagree, if you look at System Of A Down's song "BYOB" last year, it ...

Medical Emergency in OLP family?

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure the validity of this, but a friend of mine is on The Vanished mailing list (one of the bands opening for OLP) and says that she recieved this message: "Our dates with Our Lady Peace - this Wed 10/19 in Tulsa and Thurs 10/20 in Austin - have been cancelled, due to a ...

I think it's quite possibly the worse song they've ever written... only "Where Are You" challanges it for that title.

I'm not sure, I'd personally like to see them with lanni again, because he seemed to hold a piece of that winning formula that made us love OLP.

But that definitly will not happen, for now, there's nothing wrong with Rock, maybe they'll switch on their next album.

I'd like to see them with ...

One thing that bothers me about Mr. Rock's production is that he seems to pull for songs to be on the record that quite simply aren't that good, as trys to force them into something they're not.

For example on Gravity, he pulled for OLP to keep working on "Made of Steel" to get that on the record ...

Its sensational.

Especially the part where Rain sings "the wheels, the air, the metal, the mought, it's something, it's something, it's something"

Everytime I hear that the hairs on my arm stand up.

I don't hear how it's overproduced, personally. In fact, to my ears it sounds less produced than some of the older stuff.

Everything is just so suppressed musically, therefore giving a lot of the music an almost artificial feel. It's a typical Bob Rock trick. And it just sounds so clean. A lot ...

Alright I've been listening to HIPT for almost a week now and letting it sink in, because when I Gravity came out I originally HATED it. Then after a week of listening I really got into it.

So here's how I rank the albums this far:

1. Spiritual Machines: I still don't think this cd has a bad ...

Huh? What's different about him giving his views on Bush in the US from giving his views on Blair in the UK? I don't understand.

What I was saying is he can talk about Bush in Canada, England or Germany, but don't come to America and talk bad about him, because half the people you are talking ...

 I'm glad I wasn't alone in laughing at that.

I wanted to just say what I wanted to say, and if Clear Channel didn't want to play a f**kin' song because it had lyrics about Bush, then too bad.
Anyone else find it hypocritical that he says something like that in an article, yet when he plays ...

I heard it live at Edgefest in Buffalo... Raine still couldn't hit the high notes, it sounded like his voice was about to crack...it sounded quite bad in my opinion.

Alright, here's my opinion of the show.

First off it was ok, nothing better. Musically you could tell they still haven't quite gotten these songs down 100%, but I suspect after a few more shows they'll have a better feel for them. Their was a couple of songs that Steve looked confused about which ...

This may have been mentioned before, but a possible reason for Raine singing off key is that he couldn't hear himself. I know that is often a huge issue with lead singers is that they can't hear their own voice and will often sing lounder because mentally they think if they can't hear themselves no ...

in fact I see that album as olp's "Ok Computer"
But Gravity is more of a Pablo Honey than a Kid A. Which I think is why a lot of the fans around here started complaining, bitching, or whatever.

Yeah but musically Kid A was a lot different that Ok Computer, and Gravity is a lot different than ...
