You just really don't know, because I don't think a band wants to end their way with everyone not likeing their last album.
I thouht "Where Are You" was about America. I can see it being about America because where he goes "This could be the best day of your life". To me what I think that means if you stop thinking about the negatives and start thinking about the positives. Then it could be the best day of your life. I guess people think about in different ways, but that is what I think the song is about.

Who knows, I just hope they'll be around for a while, they really deserve a good response from this album. The music is great, so i dont understand why they wouldnt. I think Angels loosing sleep will be their next single, It would do great.
They should keep up with the anti-Bush statements, the way gas prices are going down here, I'd say probably 90% of the people I know are anti-Bush ... but another 90% are anti-Kerry (the 80% who are anti-both include me, I was for David Cobb for president)... I can't wait for the new album myself, I think it will be one of their better albums, I don't think it can compare to Happiness... or Clumsy, but it will be better than Gravity. *crosses another day off calendar countdown til 8/30*

Then in Buffalo he didn't mention Bush at all. It'll be interesting to see whether he does mention him at any of the other shows.
That's exactly what bothers me.
I mean, I know he's our president and not Canada's so it's kinda different saying anti-Bush stuff when he's down here... but it's not like this country doesn't have free speech. Plus, he was in New York... a blue state.
I dunno, the fact that I enjoy a good public Bush bashing probably influences my opinion of this a bit.

Yeah, the gas prices are high, but i think it will be that way with any president. Theres a lot things going on today that will be the same way with any president. That all I''m going to say about that. have a good day.

Yes yes, let's not turn this into a political thread.
It's bad enough we're having the religion debate in the other thread.

Anyone else find it hypocritical that he says something like that in an article, yet when he plays WTSOYF here, he won't tell the audience what it's really about?
I don't think it's hypocritical at all. I think he realises that some OLP fans probably voted for Bush and like him and does not want to alienate those fans. So he probably thinks it's better to give people the meaning behind the song and let them figure it out rather than just come out and say this song is about Bush, at least to an American audience. I mean like Bush or not, I don't want people bashing my president, whether it's Clinton, Bush, or Nixon.
It takes a lot of nerve for a Band of a different Nationality to go over to a different country and start Bashing their President. If they want to do that in Canada, England or Germany fine, but if you're coming to American you have to have a little respect for the audience.
Huh? What's different about him giving his views on Bush in the US from giving his views on Blair in the UK? I don't understand.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

What I was saying is he can talk about Bush in Canada, England or Germany, but don't come to America and talk bad about him, because half the people you are talking to voted for him.
Same as I wouldn't go over to the UK and start Bashing Tony Blair, because while I'm a guest in that country I don't think it's correct to insault the people that are allowing me to be there. To me it's just a matter of respect.
