actually that guy turned outnot to be Billy idol. Everyone thought it was.. it wasn't. I heard he got thrown out a few times.

As for the songs. I loved them.. I am surprised though that nobody has mentioned that Steve is now playing keyboards on a few songs. He did on Picture, Future, and I believe Wipe.. Their set was amazing.. I was front row in front of Steve.. I didn't see anyone exceopt Stace there.. Raine is still up to his climbing up the tower. He did during WIC.. Out of the new songs I think Angels, Picture and Future was amazing. I didn''t reconize Clumsy at first. They slowed it down to an almost lounge type feel.. During SD the audiece sang the first verse till Raine came in with the vocals.. Nice to see that he can stop and the audience will pick up the song.

They did have alot of energy and this record is going to be killer. It was good to see them live again.

Did anyone else go to the signing? I did. I brought my friend to meet the band. This was her first time seeing them live. She thought they were really good and loved the new stuff also.. I do have to say those shirts(ones they were selling ) were horrible. It is a silouette of a woman's back with our lady peace written on it. YUCK... I really didn't talk to them beyound hello.I just wanted to gicve them cd's and introduce my friend to them. Funny thing is the cd's I gave Duncan and Steve were ones they wanted but didn't get yet so they were really surprised and happy I gave those cd's to them.. ..

I was having fun till the 4th or 5th song of Billy.. I was in front at the end of one barricade. . There was a small gap between that barricade and the one just to the left of it.. The way the crowd was pusing sometimes I be just between so security was being really dicky and nasty to me.. A fight broke out during intermission so I moved for them to go in. I never was able to get back to where I was cause the crowd moved forward so I sort of stood between them. During Flesh For Fantasy- Billy came over to our side. He was near the edge of the stage and I was doing the normal pumping hand in air we all do. He reached down and grabbed my hand. So I gave him a thumbs up and he returned it while singing to me.. This big securituy guy came over and pulled me by the arm telling me I had to leave. I asked him why.. he just said leave now.. My friends tried to pull me back, but he was pulling me by the other arm.. I said to him one minute I need to get my bag. He practically lifted me up.. He pushed me along the way making me trip and hurting my foot in the process.. I told the other guy there I needed first aid cause I was really hurt.. He told me I had to stand back of this line and I couldn't go backstage. I said I don't want to go backstage I just need to know where first aid is. He said someone will come out to me. I waited and waited. When I asked him again he was all I can't hear you.. Finally I decided to just try to walk out to the front. I needed to tell my friend I was leaving> I asked one of the security guys there to just give her a note for me. She was 6 people in along the front.. He told me if I didn't leave I would be arrested :wtf: this was the guy who I told I neede first aid to, then who was like get out ot my face.. The way the area was set up was there was this opening along the front for surfers to pass. You couldn't stand there, but just outside( where I was ).. So I don't understand these guy's problems.Esp when they hurt me, and I asked for medical help.. By the first guy being rough with me I twisted my ankle and was in pain.. I did finally manage to get over to first aid for them to give me an ace bandage.. I should of known they were dicks when this wheel chair kid was brought up to the front by other security people.. They started telling the guy with them he couldn't stay there and actually were so rough with the wheel chair kid he feel out of his chair. Plus I heard a few other mishaps with security from other people. They were really rough with people they shouldn't have been. The other girl I was with told me they removed this girl that Billy was trying to pull up on stage. I don;t know if that is true or not. I only know is that they made me leave, and when I didn't move fast enough yanked me by the arm cause Billy reached over and grabbed my hand.. UP untill then I was having a good time.. Those guys ruined Billy's set for me..

I did get to hear it though. I didn't really see it though. Out of all the shows I have been to in my life this is the second time a member of security got rough with me. First time was at the OLP/Creed show in Philly in 99. that guy practically choked me. .. People said I should of said I wanted a officer there to file charges. He did this cause someon took a photo and he thought it was me.. I had a camera around my neck. he yanked me by the camera yelliling at me.. I said i didn't take any photo. It wasn't untill another person told him it was someone eles taking photos that he let go of me strap around my neck. . I hate some of these security people. they put on a shirt and think they have the right to handle you anyway they want.. I am not talking about unruly people, but people who are just there. for whatever reason they get an ego problem.. I am friendly with alot of guys who work security in NYC.. None of them have ever acted all bullyish to concert goers..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

OLP last night was good...I just got up now...

We got stuck in a lot of traffic on the way up...missed 30 seconds to mars...but oh well...caught a little of their set in the parking lot...

I turned out to be MAtt's tripod for most of OLP's set...his arms kept getting tired so he leaned on my shoulder to keep the camera steady...

Only stayed for a bit of billy idol...Kruno and Shelley were sick so we decided to leave and get some dinner in St. Catherines. Actually I think I'm now catching what they have!

I was really hoping to hear OLP play boy again last night...I didn't really get to hear what it sounded like on friday night coz I was too close to the speakers....oh well...wait for the CD or other concert dates...

Alright, here's my opinion of the show.

First off it was ok, nothing better. Musically you could tell they still haven't quite gotten these songs down 100%, but I suspect after a few more shows they'll have a better feel for them. Their was a couple of songs that Steve looked confused about which pedals to switch off and on.

The new songs, hmm, it's hard to comment on them because I haven't really had a chance to absorb them yet, usually I like to hear them on cd a few times before making a judgement. That being said WIC, still doesn't do it for me, I've heard some recordings of that song, it was ok, maybe when the cd comes out I'll like it more. Angles/Losing/Sleep sounded decent. Where are you, this song is hard, because it's such an average song, however when the "Sons and Daughters" part kicks in it's just a giant crowd sing along. BUT, Raine really sounds horrible when he trays to sing the chorus he just can't reach the "where are you" part and it still sounds pretty bad IMO.

Also, I think that starting the show with 4 new songs wasn't a great idea, I mean I am very grateful to have heard to new material but everyone else there seemed kind of lost as to what they where playing. Perhaps they could have worked in some of the old stuff at the begining.

Another thing that frustrated me was that Steve wasn't carrying the lead guitar on a lot of songs. Even when he wasn't playing the piano, I noticed that he wasn't playing lead sometimes. And when he did play lead, it really didn't sound that great...example being "Superman's Dead"

They had a new intro to "Clumsy" it was played a lot slower than normal, really didn't care for it, the slower intro works on songs like "IAH" but not clumsy, there's just something about the piano intro that makes that song really great. I also noticed that once they did kick into the actual song that It was played slower that it should have been.

All in all I would probably give this show a 5 out of 10. I've seem them on prior occasions and they've played a lot better, sounder, and just in general put on better shows. I think once they start touring on their own we'll start to see something amazing once again.

Wow, lol. I guess since it was my first Our Lady Peace show I'm giving it a 10/10. I loved hearing the new stuff, and the old stuff as well. One thing that was too good, was Raine's strength. He was so into everything last night. Climbing the stage during Walking in Circles was amazing! There was much heart from both him and the audience. I swear during the new songs, the audience was singing the chrous at around the second time. They seemed to really like it. And after each song, Raine was looking for what people thought of it. Lot's of singing along, body surfing (with Billy Idol as well) and the rest of the band seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. Duncan was really into it. Jermey seemed to be really concentrating (he was drunk I'm sure, he walked on with 4 beer bottles), and Steve had a lot to do chagning from Piano to Guitar. The new guy I really didn't pay attention to that much. No beef with him, just he's not OLP to me. And opening with Picture was amazing. The band when nuts when Raine was singing the

Pick up the phone
i'm calling you

or whatever part that got louder and heavier until it broke back into the chours. And the solo for Wipe that Smile was there, and it was awsome. Where Are You? Sounded strong and the audience recognized it well for a new song and even sang along a lot. Clumsy being slow was new...the audience was starting the song before Raine and singing ahead of him at times, but it was still good. Starseed a beautiful ending. The fireworks was a nice touch as well. Don't know if they had anything to do with it though. What was the song everyone was clapping to though? Was it walking in circles?

I'm surprised no one's mentioned that Raine forgot the lyrics to a big chunk of Somewhere Out There. I found that kind of funny.

All in all, I was pretty happy with the show...it was my first time hearing a lot of the new stuff. I was pretty impressed with Picture and Angels. Where Are You did sound pretty bad, but I wasn't expecting much. I was kind of bummed that they didn't play anything off of Happiness or SM. I guess that's what you get when they can only play an hour set. I'm definitely looking forward to a headlining tour.

All in all it was a pretty good show on a beautiful nite.

Hey did anyone else see the bus they were on? It was red and silver....once my friends and me saw Duncan come out of it we stayed there and waited to see the rest of the band. I couldnt help it....but I turned out to be one of those fans that end up screaming "YOU GUYS FREAKING RULE!!!" and then Duncan came over to talk to us....I nearly peed myself...but he said how they have a second guitarist and his name is Noel and how they were all good friends before hand...It was the best day of my life....just like the song says...

I'm a bit tired right now to post a proper review of the show. I had a lot of fun watching the show with everyone, as well as meeting Arlie, Pete and Amy, and catching a glimpse of Teedus. Teedus we were hoping you would hang around after the autograph signining to talk. We were really excited for you to meet the band and get to see them, I hope they lived up to your expectations. :D. Thanks to everyone who blocked security for me. I enjoyed the show, and the view from the balcony was great. The sun set behind the band as they were playing and there was a great breeze blowing, it was awesome. I'll post more later when I'm not quite so tired.
