I agree, love the way Raines sings the last "again" too.

I'm assuming that you have to be a basic or premium member/subscriber to listen to the stream. I'm only getting 30 second clips of songs just as a non-subscriber. Man, I might as well wait for the album instead of going through this nonsense of laying out a credit card just to get a 30 Day FREE Trial.

Damn, good catch there. However from what I can tell, they don't charge you anything until your 30 days is up, and you can cancel before they charge you. I might just sign up on the 27th and cancel an hour later.

Heh, nice observation. And in my view, each one has been less impressive chronologically. All For You is the best, ALS is very good, and AYDWSML is mediocre. I'm sure Allowance will break that trend.

I liked the commentary Raine did on the video. Good Stuff.

Yeah, that's awesome insight into the song. I love that kind of thing. Interesting that the drum breakdown before the first chorus is Steve. According to Duncan, he's a pretty good drummer too!

I've given it a couple more listens and it's growing on me. I think I need to approach this album from a different angle.

I am a big fan of the first version of the chorus we heard:

Don't leave me waiting
The wolf is already at my door
He's run out of patience
I gave him my blood but he wants more
And I don't belong
I don't belong here anymore
There's a wolf outside my door

The second version was simplified (removed references to the wolf and blood lines and replaced them with repeating lines) and was not as strong, but the overall sound was still nice.

Now how knows, maybe some of it still remains, we don't know. If it's gone though, then I think it will weaken the song substantially.

Disagree, the original chorus may have had *ok* lyrics but the delivery just wasn't there. Read those lyrics, seriously, then listen to how Raine sings them. I can't hear any urgency. Henhouse however Raine contributes to the frantic theme both lyrically AND vocally. His voice in this version ACTUALLY SUITS THE FRANTIC NATURE OF THE SONG.

The Wolf had an absolutely terribly boring chorus, the epitome of "boring 2000s OLP". (Musically, they are tight on this track but Raine is so boring) Henhouse actually sounds like he's trying, and means the lyrics.

I disagree with that, I think Henhouse (the 30 sec clip) sounds very mediocre and boring.

The Original stream we heard of the Wolf, I think it was the first stream they did like a year ago, can't find a video anywhere of it, was one of the best things I have ever heard the band play. That version literally made my jaw drop, sad that it never transpired from there.

I like it too, I love the falsetto in the background, wish it was just the falsetto singing there though...but still sounds good
