Hmm, interesting. The more interviews I read that involve questions about Mike the less I believe that the "separation was amicable" like they've said publicly. I mean really, now:
PW: Yeah. Mike Turner’s departure, how did that affect things?
JT: Not at all.
PW: Really?!?
JT: No. Not at all.
PW: Well, he was one of the founding members, yes?
JT: Yeah, he was.
PW: And it didn’t affect anything?
JT: Nope.
PW: Ok, then!
But I can understand Jeremy's argument that Raine's falsetto was just a "theme" that they kind of adopted between Clumsy and Spiritual Machines, but there were still elements of the falsetto in Naveed. It wasn't as high-pitched or wavering, but the gritty, paranoid voice was still there. And I still can't tell whether the band is still just angry at Mike for not agreeing to be part of the change in Gravity, or if they're just angrily guilty that he may have been correct about Gravity not being the right idea.
