All I want to know is if it was better than Gravity material or around the same? And if you think its a good lead single?

and did you like the Promosquad version of "Where are You"??....because I thought it was pretty rancid.

this interrogation is over..

where are you is terrible. but it's difficult to get worse than gravity, and since the falsettos have returned, it must be better.

There were falsettos in Innocent, and we all know how that turned out.

Besides, all we've heard of Where Are You is the clip, which could have easily been changed again since then. Yeah, I realize it's unlikely, but even so, you could find something you like about the song, once you hear it in full.
I just wanna get out,

That's it exactly...........the song had no redeeming qualities from what I heard and its the lead single.............scary prospect.

actually it sounded exactly the same as the version we've all heard lol. it was kind of dissappointing actually. the clip that they played was shorter than the bits that we've heard.

If you don't like the music, especially after having judged it without even hearing a full song yet, then you should seriously consider just leaving. I mean this is a board for OLP fans, and I think some criticism is okay, but there are some people that do nothing but criticize and complain about how the old albums were so much better. So annoying...

So, according to you, people arent allowed to critize the new music? I guess that means that those people arent OLP fans eh?

If you want a board that's only for people who are super-excited about OLP, you can find one at the CC. The CM is built on a community of fans. I love OLP. I think the first four albums are amazing. But that's irrelevant. The point is, this is a community. People come here because of OLP. If that's all they're here for, they'll ask a question or two, maybe download some things from the hub, then likely not return until R&S announce something else. People stay because of the other members. The reason the board has stayed around so long has nothing to do with OLP. It's the people on the board that matter. Telling people to leave because they don't like the band's new work doesn't make any sense, since the board would be nowhere without the longtime members.

Having said that, I agree that you can't judge the new material without hearing it. But on the other hand, saying that the outlook isn't so appealing is no different than saying that you're hopeful that it will be good.

Hey! Don't be harshing on the CC!

He said some criticism was okay. I think he meant that the overall pessimism/cycicism of some people is quite annoying.

Gotta agree with you Rob. Opinions are meant to be shared. I tend to get tired of some bashers, as well as the blind fanboys..........a nice critical discussion with respect is something I really appreciate though.....too bad it nevers last long.
