You know, the week that I joined we had this same discussion in another thread (I think it might have been on one of the pages in the "Why all the negativity lately" or whatever it was called) and most of the people who took part in that discussion are saying the same things. I'm not complaining, I just find it sort of weird and De ja vu-y(sp?). I think my first post was in that thread. . .
Anyway, I'm probably completely wrong, but maybe some of the members of olp just don't like certain songs anymore, and that's why they barely ever get seen on the playlist. I'm not saying that's why they keep playing the same 25 songs over and over, but it could happen. It happens to other people often. Like when I saw Bobby McFerrin, "Does anyone have a request. . . besides Don't Worry, Be Happy?"

Well, if you don't like more than 20 of the songs you wrote, then why write them? If it's such a big problem to play them live, they never should have made the album, because some people have a penchant for listening to songs that aren't singles. If it's not off the new album, it's a single. That's just wrong.
And by the way, no one requires you to read these threads. Maybe people talk about the set lists because < gasp > this is a thread about set lists! That's just an idea. I might be wrong.

Well as recently as the much Exposed, Raine said that he hasn't gotten tired of any of the old songs. So unless he was just saying that for the camera...

what show did Steve play Stealing Babies? I missed that one.
As for Mike's song-It is "Car Crash" All the way for me. I loved watching him do the intro to that song.
As far as Steve butchering on songs. I haven't really noticed. Yeah I have seen him have a bad night, but I wouldn't exactly say he killed songs.
the band sounded fine to me live. They would have good night, they would have off nights. I never really noticed any kind of difference.
I will not compare Mike and Steve ever. I think they are both talented and added to OLP's sound.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

no, Raine said himself that they arent bored of playing old ones.. and Steve wasnt around then, so im sure he loves to play the new stuff to see if he can

i meant when they played the old ones... meaning Steve probably wants to play the new ones to see if how he plays them gets the crowd going
which i think he does well... not sure how he'd do with 'Whatever' tho.. seeing Mike do that baffles me

He meant that Steve would probably enjoy playing the old songs because he hasn't performed them before, so how could he possibly be tired of them.
