Joey wrote:So, we all know my taste in music is probably one of the worst on this board .. and I'm okay with that :D but I'd like everyone to list a band they think I should check out .. any band you think I might like, tell me about them, recommend a cd .. I want to broaden my music tastes and dig myself out of the 'you listen to that shit?' category. Thanks!

Edit: No Matt Good or Radiohead

Just curious why you say your tatse in music sucks? People like different things. I can tell you, nobody on here comes close to me with taste in music. I have an extremely wide range of taste in music. There is only two types of music to me. Good and Bad. I listen to so many different types it is scary. I do perfer Rock, Hard Rock and Punk the most. I can listen to anything as long as the song is good. My friend and I shock people with the stuff we listen to .

I really can't tell you what to listen to cause I don't know what you perfer. There is the classic in rock music like Elvis, Beatles, Stones, etc. You have your more modern day band also like Nirvana, Guns and Roses etc, and even newer bands still. You have great jazz artists like Miles Davis, Coltran, Elvin Jones., Branford Marsalis. You have Blues like BB King, John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt. YOu have your punk icons like Ramones, Sex Pistols and Clash. There are a lot of different things out there. Why don't you ask friends what they listen to. Just because someone things one band or group is great doesn't necessarily mean they are.

BTW, I listen to some artist that my friends ask how I can like that crap. To each's own.

P.S-Your taste can't be all that bad if you listen to OLP now can they?

I meant people you hang with. Not a message board.

I don't know how old you are or anythng like that, but if I want to see someone bad enough I go by myself. I always meet people at shows and have a good time.

The Badlees...

They're a smalltown band... Pretty mellow/acoustic... yet awesome!

I suggest:
"Don't Let Me Hide"
"Angeline Is Comng Home"
"Fear of Falling"
"Renew"

If you can't find anything, IM me... and I will hook you up :)
