If you think my taste in music sucks ..

Post by Joey »

So, we all know my taste in music is probably one of the worst on this board .. and I'm okay with that :D but I'd like everyone to list a band they think I should check out .. any band you think I might like, tell me about them, recommend a cd .. I want to broaden my music tastes and dig myself out of the 'you listen to that shit?' category. Thanks!

Edit: No Matt Good or Radiohead

Murder By Death. Hit me up on AIM and I will send you their cd.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Matt Good cd's aren't allowed in my house :P
I have the newest Finger Eleven cd and a few songs downloaded from their other albums .. I have a couple AAF songs from their first album I like .. I have no idea what APC sounds like so I can give them a try (songs to try?) and I have the first album by Staind but not the latest one. I dunno about Tool ..

I can't stand Matt Good as a person, so that turns me off of his music entirely. The more he opens his mouth, the more I hate him.

What's your favorite song by them? I'll download something by them next.

matthew good isn't allowed in your house?! if you are being serious, then move out.

For APC try:
Judith
Pet
Three Libras
The Outsider
The Package

and for tool, if you aren't into that hardcore metal stuff, get lateralus. It's their best album and it is softer than SOAD and many other metal bands. oh yeah, you should try some system of a down.

The new Something Corporate album, "North," and the new greatest hits Counting Crows album "Films About Ghosts"
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

Okay, stop suggesting Matt Good people

I already love the Counting Crows and have all their stuff .. and I have everything Something Corporate has put out, including their dvd :D

Radiohead is too depressing and I can't stand his voice

Already said I like Finger Eleven

I'll try APC next ..
