You know OLP has become more mainstream when...
OLP could sell out HSBC without a doubt. There seems to be a huge amount of loyal fans around the cities that border Canada- Detroit, Buffalo, even Cleveland. I guess it's cool that they're getting more fans and all in the states, but I won't forget all those times I had to tune into Much just to hear some news about OLP.

Weren't they on one .. for Life maybe? Not a NOW cd but for Big Shiny Tunes or something? Maybe not .. I dunno what I'm talking about
hmmmm, i dont know, they might have been.... i know they made it on a lesser known rock Compilation with Life, but nothing as big or mainstream as NOW...
Big Shiny Tunes, ill have to look that up, i dont recall it
Yea I looked it up and it doesn't have a track listing
... I just remember Starseed on the Armageddon soundtrack, stripped of Raine's falsetto... that made me mad when I found out they took it off.

That is when you know you've hit it big: you find youself on one of those infamous WWF (or E, I don't really follow it) soundtracks.

"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

No No No
YOu guys got it all wrong. You will know if OLP hit is big if one of two things happen in the USA.
1) YOU will hear the MUZAK version of SOT in an Elevator
2) SOme drunk guy with a beer will go up to the stage in a Karoke bart and dedicate it to his even drunker girlfriend.
But if the day ever came when OLP were on one of those radio shows( I don't mean the modern rock festivals they just did, but the top 40 ones) with Britney, N'SYNC, Arron Carter, etc, etc. I think I PUKE till I was blue.

I was neither bitching or moaning... Quit taking everything so serious.
I just found it amusing...and so do these other people. Geesh.

Definitely. It's tough getting tickets to an OLP show in Buffalo. I remember when they played the Tralf a few years back, they had an OLP weekend because of the concert. It's a huge deal when they come around, everybody loves them here.![]()
I was at that show... i won tickets from OLP.com cause i couldn't get them at the ticketmaster. I was first in line and as soon as they tried to punch it in they were sold out... turns out they only sold 25 tickets and the rest were contest winners...
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I know how that goes. I had the same thing happen to me last year for a Detroit show. I didn't get a ticket because they sold maybe 25 and saved like 950 for contests. I got my OLP ticket though, which made me happy, and that's how I saw my first OLP concert. I had to sit at a McDonald's for a fun 8 hours.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
