You know OLP has become more mainstream when you hear SOT while eating dinner at Sonny's BBQ in South Georgia

I was at my cousin's house today, and they had one of the music TV channels on (comes with digital cable)...I think it was one of the current hits stations or something. Cause SwOT played. And so did a few other songs that're popular now.

You know OLP went big when people bitch and moan about OLP getting a real fanbase. Quit your bitching, all of you, if you don't like OLP being known, then stop listening to them.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

OLP may be more popular as far as the radio goes, but I still can't find a soul where I live who knows who they are. Today at work I had to sing SOT to try to get my coworker to recognize OLP. She still had never heard them. Also, OLP are still playing club shows in the U.S. and it is still mostly diehard fans that show up. You can just tell by the amount of people who sing along and know the words to Naveed songs. Maybe they're a little more mainstream nationwide, but in my area I can only find SOT fans, not OLP fans, if even that. A lot of people may have heard and like SOT but they aren't necessarily associating it with OLP. If OLP wants to become more mainstream...they've got to make sure that Innocent does as well if not better than SOT, something I don't think is going to happen.

My Uncle from Colorado asked me what OLP CDs he should buy...First I said Gravity, because I wasn't sure if he'd like Happiness or SM, but my brother told him to get Naveed and Clumsy...Aparrently he heard Superman's Dead, and liked it...And he likes SwOT too.

Dude, what crawled up your ass and died? None of the people here were saying it was a bad thing. Remember, when you assume things all you do is make an ASS out of U and ME. Besides, if OLP is overplayed, people will become sick of them. Do you want that?

I bet they could sell out in Buffalo and the HSBC Arena wher ethe Sabres play... mind you half the ppl would be from Canada but they have a huge fan base in Buffalo so I think they could sell it out.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I dunno... selling out an arena is tough.

You gotta be Niel Diamond to do stuff like that.

The Number One way to tell if you have become MAINSTREAM....
(drumroll)...

If you appear on one of those NOW (thats what i call music!) Cd's

I hope OLP stays off NOW 10.... which would be the next installment...

other examples of frequent NOW mainstreamers include Default, Nickleback, Blink... and dont forget a heaping load of Britney, NSYNC, etc etc...

No one was bitching or moaning. Calm down your temper a little, please.

Definitely. It's tough getting tickets to an OLP show in Buffalo. I remember when they played the Tralf a few years back, they had an OLP weekend because of the concert. It's a huge deal when they come around, everybody loves them here.

Now, if they'd just have a show here, everything would be fine and dandy.
