Yeah but at least it's 89X which is a respectable station (in my eyes, anyway) - and it's being played so much because it's their 7 day slam thing, which basically means it'll be played out within a week, therefore killing the song, lol. - Megan

Sweetness by JEW and The Hindu Times were 7 day slams, and those songs still are played a lot on the radio because people request them.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

(shrug) They've kind of ripped away my delusions about what sort of band they are. I can understand wanting to be on TRL, but changing your music and fighting to get on TRL is dumb.

Not that I'd really have a problem with them being on TRL if they were still the same band, though. It's just a vehicle, I guess.

i don't think its necessarily the band pushing for TRL status, im sure sony has a hand in it as well...doesn't sony own the OMA? its also not all pop bands...korn, soad, papa roach, various punk bands etc have been on it before. you have to remember that the band is proud of their album so im sure they wouldnt mind gaining a larger audience so they can showcase the fruits of their labor.

its probably just a radio edit. they did one for..i think it was 4am where they cut out part of the song, other ones too but i can't remember which ones...clumsy might be another

by the way, i havent heard innocent on the radio yet. why? the only time i listen to the radio is in-between changing cd's. its a great way to prevent songs from going stale due to radio over-exposure

Yeah, they cut out part of Clumsy and Superman's Dead. The why-ee-i-ee-i-ee-yeah's are cut short. Always made me mad.

Damn radio edits, a majority of the time they are cutting the best parts. An example that comes to mind is Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind.

Another big radio edit is Nine Inch Nails - Closer. They chopped the hell out of that song, and even the best part. They cut all but 5 seconds of the piano ending out of it, which blows to do.
