If it wasn't for those kind of songs, I wouldn't have been able to get into and appreciate the softer, slower songs that are pretty great.
Yeah if anyone here isn't familiar with Pedestrian yet, they should go listen to some of these right now.
Here's a few of my favorite performances from them that I've seen the past few years. It's a good starting spot and after that remember to go buy their albums.

i've liked thousand foot krutch for awhile, and when i heard that song i remember thinking " wait...raine?!?!" but if u listen to it a few times u hear spots where he sounds nothing like raine...his voice is not as deep...but it does sound very similiar.
