OLP-like Bands?
OLP-like Bands?
I've been in search of bands that have a similar style that OLP has, pre-Gravity. Preferably with a lead singer with a unique voice and happens to use falsetto.
Anybody have any suggestions?

listen to this song and try to prove that isnt raine singing it...i dare you!!

Not all their songs sound so much like Raine...but this one really does! One comment on You Tube was "I might be wrong, but I could swear this is OLP"
~The world is a vampire~...ahh, I totally forgot about that song! I think that is and will be my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song.faninor wrote:The Smashing Pumpkins of course.
Not that they're too good.
Just get "Zero," "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," and a handful of other singles. Maybe their greatest hits album.

A friend of mine messaged me one day and the conversation went something like this:
Him: "Hey, you like OLP right?"
Me: "Hell yeah man!" (Jk)
Him: "I think you'd like this band, Lovedrug."
He sent me a couple songs, I fell in love, and I went out and bought their album "Pretend You're Alive." I still wonder why the hell he thought I would be into them because I loved OLP, but he wasn't wrong when he said I'd like them. They've become one of my top 5 favorite bands.
The singer has a very unique voice and he does get pretty high, although I wouldn't consider it a falsetto. Give them a listen though. I'd recommend starting with "Blackout," "Spiders," and "Radiology" off of "Pretend You're Alive."

If you check out Pedestrian, I recommend starting with their more uptempo songs like Brain on a Stick, Headwreck, Song for a Lady, Covered in Grey, and Finally All the Noise.
If it wasn't for those kind of songs, I wouldn't have been able to get into and appreciate the softer, slower songs that are pretty great.
