Haha, I had some lady come through my cash line today at Target and her last name was Mazur. I don't know how she pronounced it, so I'm not really helping the situation, just thought I'd share.

Thanks Alan, I've been around. Not much to post now that the "Gravity" buzz has died down. But I have been here supporting Amish Mouse, you know how that goes. Al is trying to hold me down...

Yeah, fuck that Mike Turner guy.. He always held Our Lady Peace back. He never could step up, he was all about atmosphere, and everyone knows atmospheric guitar players suck.

Steve is a bad ass guitar player. but can he write good music? if he stays in the band until the next album we may find out.

*lol* @ Mike holding OLP back. that HAS to be a joke. unless you only like Gravity and you hate the rest of OLP's music, of course. the band wouldn't be where they are now without Mike, that's for damn sure.

I came into this in the middle, and these anti-Mike comments boggle my mind. I hope that I'm missing something and this is just a joke...

Oh, I'm totally serious, Mike sucked. Gravity is the best album ever and Happiness and Naveed are complete shit.

..right.

Steve may be cool, but he's no Mike. I was really intending on asking Raine at the Birmingham, MI in-store performance why he said that they were always "held back by their guitarist." I didn't really get a good opportunity, though.

I was pretty pissed at the time.

I don't think he meant they were held back creatively. I just think that he meant that the rest of the group was wanting to change to a more rock-ish sound, with a more in-your-face guitar player. It's not that they didn't think he was good, it's just that he was a different type of guitar player than they felt they needed. They would obviously still have a respect for his playing style, but they wanted something different, which Mike didn't offer as a guitarist.

Yeah, when I saw that he said Happiness sucked, I knew it was all a lie. No one who appreciates music can say Happiness sucked.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I know the solution to Steve's last name. See.......I have a really long last name that no one wants to try to say, so everyone just uses my last initials. From now on, Steve Mazur will be Steve M.

Either that, or I'd probably side with Raine on pronounciation :)
