White Flags is probably my least played song from Burn Burn. It feels a little... cluttered.

Heh, I can't believe so many of us agree about White Flags. I wonder if anyone lists it as their favorite?

1. NGOY

3. Refuge
4. Escape Artist
5. Paper Moon
6. Monkey Brains
7. Dreamland
8. AYD
9. The End
10. Signs Of Life

1. Escape Artist
2. Refuge
3. Paper Moon
4. The Right Stuff
5. Time Bomb
6. Monkey Brains
7. Signs of Life
8. Dreamland
9. Never Get Over You
10. The End Is Where We Begin
11. All You Did Was Save My Life
12. White Flags

There's the order of my favorite to least favorite, not from what I think is best to worst (although the list would be pretty similar actually).

For the most part I agree with what people are saying about the songs, but I disagree that NGOY is a great ballad, as it falls apart after the first chorus. The vocals are what ruins Monkey Brains, and I also think the bridge is very out of place. If they wanted a change of pace and to make some soft, beautiful piece of music, then it should have had some kind of sound that would have been tangible. This bridge sounds like a completely different song sloppily thrown in there.

I don't understand the "White Flags" hate. It's definitely one of my favourites. I still see it as one of their best chances at a big hit from this album. The chorus is so damn catchy, and the solo/bridge is kick-ass.

I'm wondering MOL, is All You Did growing on you any? It used to be on the bottom of my list, but the more I listen to it the more I seem to enjoy it. I enjoy the guitar work especially... which is a typical aspect of enjoyment in this album.

By the way I agree about your assessment of NGOY, and I've switched around it and AYDWSML in my list after consideration. It does feel like it falls apart after the first chorus, although I enjoy it up to that point. I did indeed find myself changing the song after that chorus. For me AYDWSML at least feels complete.

Well, I don't hate it, if that answers your question. Sure, I like it more than I used to, but I still don't really like it all that much. Musically it's pretty uninteresting and the lyrics are for the most part weak. The only thing that I really enjoy about it is the backing vocals.

I know alot of people are let down by this album which I cannot see how they are, this album to me is just amazing i can't stop playing it, everyday I play it and I have yet to get bored with it. My favourites are Paper moon, Escape Artist, Monkey Brains, and DreamLand. I like all the songs on the cd except Im not a big fan of signs of life its not bad but i dont know, and i dont see the hate for Dreamland I love it the build up to the chorus it's amazing the lyrics are just beaurtiful and same with the instruments. I will agree that this cd at points would be alot better if raine ahd the passion that he had in naved and gravity, those being songs which is voice sounded amazing even with out his falsetto.

I agree. In Dreamland i love the guitar when Raine sing "I want to feel again" this reminds me Happiness....guitar, Escape Artist, Monkey Brains, and all other are amazing. I love all OLP's song at the same type.
In all album the unique songs that i forced myself to listen are Apology and White Flags, but i listen and love them.
Burn Burn is AMAZING,

I'm pretty much with you on all your points. I been listening to this album daily, too, and have yet to tire of it, either. The more I hear it, the more I'm discovering new things I hadn't previously noticed. This may well be my "Album Of The Year".

Don't get me wrong, I love the album too... I have both it and the "Best of Our Lady Peace" album they released in March in my car... and I find myself playing Burn Burn a lot more frequently nowadays... I love the album, I just have my qualms with it I guess.

Im not trying to say everyone should love it like I do, it's just my opinion and what i like, but I can also understand how some people can have there "qualms" with it as well. I was more or less trying to voice my opinion because I was a little annoyed by the all of the negative responses on here, even tho it hasn't been as bad lately it seems people are coming around.

I always listen to albums all the way through.
I'm honestly not sure how much I like Burn Burn. I can't decide. Sometimes the new vocal direction really bothers me, and other times I'm able to just ignore it and tap my foot or whatever. I also don't know a lot of the words yet.

Heres my 2 cents

This cd is really good, and I think it is getting way to much hate. It has three amazing songs Paper moon, monkey brains, escape artist. These songs alone make up for the garbage we got on the last cd. Sadly these are the only songs that seem to bring back some kind of nostalgic feeling, the rest seem like they were created solely for the purpose of mainstream pop radio. Single choices are also terrible, and leaving The Right stuff of the main cd was a mistake lol, could have easily been a smash first single
