White Flags is kind of a formulaic pop/rock song, but it's chorus is different, and very catchy. Paper Moon also has a nice, unique feel. However, I've been skipping it since I kind of overdid that song when it leaked.
I think in the end the standout tracks are going to be Monkey Brains, Escape Artist, White Flags, and Paper Moon. That's pretty good. And the rest aren't bad, but just not as unique. Refuge has grown on me, but it still lacks the power it could have had. It seems a little too smooth. I think if some of the songs would have had a little more vocal energy they would have really stood out.
Stopitstopitstopit! Quit giving me opinions on songs I don't know yet! Noooo!
Shanae I won't spoil the songs for you but I will tell you this, they will all grow on you. There were a few that I wasn't sure about on first listen but these have REALLY grown on me since. But there are also others that had me hooked from the beginning.
On another note I picked up Billy Talent III yesterday, and I am liking it. Not sure why the reviews have been so bad. Then again, it sounds like this is their Gravity. And as I haven't been a huge fan of theirs since the beginning, I guess I wouldn't know any better!
