I really don't think you should be listing Burn Burn as YOUR FAVORITE OLP album just a few days after listening to it... you need a little perspective, we all do. We won't be able to get out of this "recentism" perspective for at least a month or two.
ESPECIALLY when you're listing HIPT at the very bottom when some Burn Burn songs sound quite similar to some from HIPT.

Yeah... i'm gonna be mixing several CDs that will each include songs from all 7 albums to help speed the objective perspective along lol... listening to 4 AM then Escape Artist then Angels/Losing/Sleep all on one CD.
I have a 1 hour drive to work so I'll really get the chance to get some perspective on Burn Burn sooner rather than later, maybe.

A pastor on Youtube has posted AYDWSML thinking it was a song about Christian worship! I don't blame him for thinking that though - the band's name IS Our Lady Peace (a Christian reference), and the lyrics have a lot of religious references in them (like the Red Sea you split me open, somehow knew these wings were stolen)

Some songs hold up really well to earlier stuff, even though they are quite different. Escape Artist and Monkey Brains are distinct sounds. White Flags is kind of a formulaic pop/rock song, but it's chorus is different, and very catchy. Paper Moon also has a nice, unique feel. However, I've been skipping it since I kind of overdid that song when it leaked.
I think in the end the standout tracks are going to be Monkey Brains, Escape Artist, White Flags, and Paper Moon. That's pretty good. And the rest aren't bad, but just not as unique. Refuge has grown on me, but it still lacks the power it could have had. It seems a little too smooth. I think if some of the songs would have had a little more vocal energy they would have really stood out.
