The only title that scares me is "Never Get Over You," it sounds like a cliche, poppy ballad. I'm not saying I'm right though.. I'm not going to condemn it without a listen.

Well, it's track #4. OLP historically likes to put their "poppy" music in the 4th slot on their albums (Innocent, Where Are You).

I really dig the titles of "Paper Moon" and "Signs of Life." They should be interesting tracks.

Never Get Over You does sound pretty terrible, yeah... ergh.

But the rest interest me a lot. Escape Artist! I am excited for that song, for some reason. Maybe because they considered it good enough to be their title track.
I just wanna get out,

I'm kind of expecting Escape Artist to be a pretty angsty song, since I'm guessing it has something to do with separating themselves from the label and what suits the radio.

Refuge sounds like it will be a softer song. I'm not sure why, but I'm getting that notion.

I'm still not a huge fan of The Right Stuff, although it has grown on me since I initially heard it. I also really like the breakdown/bridge part. That chorus still somewhat irks me though.

Dreamland sounds like it will be a strong softer song. That chorus is very catchy. I'm also glad White Flags made it. That's another one with a strong chorus. I'm still not really feeling All You Did though... it still seems a lot like Where Are You (which I even like more at the moment).

Paper Moon does seem like it could be softer, but something about the name.. It gets me excited for the song. Signs of Life seems either mid-tempo or a bit heavier. Another one I'm awaiting.

And then there's Monkey Brains which I am extremely excited for. The performance back in March really has me amp'd for it. It really sounds like Steve's going to let loose on it. That bridge that I was unsure of from the NYE performance also seems to be coming along, based on the video on .net.

I would have expected "White Flags" to be in the top half of the tracklist (maybe even an eventual single). The tempo of this song doesn't match a typical OLP album closing track.
Well I promised you I would change, but I'm an asshole and I'm ashamed

I agree...its the first thing i thought of when i saw it was the last song. with the exception of "neon crossing" and maybe "a story about a girl", all the other closing songs are a little slower and very different tempo songs (car crash, stealing babies, the wonderful future, al genina). but since they are "coming full circle" and "going back to their roots" and "making a proper rock record like naveed", maybe that is the intention...finish the record on a rockin note. I love white flags!!!!
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

I'm going to go with the name of the song has been changed. I agree. I loved the song. I hope to god it's on this disc or it better be released as a bonus. I think with OLP being a indie band, we are going to see a bunch of bonus and b-side tracks, so don't think the worst. We'll hear it.

Indie band? I wouldn't say all that, just less mainstream than they once were.

If it's on Burn Burn or a bonus track for iTunes or something, I hope the chorus has been worked on. It was a bit too anti-climactic. Hopefully there is iTunes bonus tracks though, since they worked on over thirty songs I believe.

I sure hope WFSTH makes it onto the album, because I was really anxious to hear that one recorded! I love that song...

Gosh. This is exciting. And the Billy Talent song comes out on the next day! What an awesome month!

FINALLY! Ooh, and I'll be back from camp and everything...

*rubs hands together.*

Indie as in literally indie. They're independent, not on a label anymore.

Maybe I'm the only one here, but I was actually pretty glad that WFSTH wasn't on the tracklist. Given what we heard live, that song just needed serious rework... especially the chorus lyrics. I admit that the melody had potential to be another "Not Afraid" style song, but it just really felt like too much was missing from it to be something that would ever make it on an album.

isn't there an old dorky pop song by a female group with lyrics like..."I'll never get over you, getting over me...."

I'm too lazy to look it up... but that is in my head now that I've read the tracklist.

I hate song names that remind me of other bad songs. *cough* TRS *cough*

 TRS would be the ultimate example of that. Even after all this time, that mental block will not. Go. Away.

If I had to guess, I think WFSTH might be called "Signs of Life"........we'll see what they did.

I'm sure Never Get Over You will be better than the title. It makes me think of Kelly Clarkson. Just like All For You made me think of Janet Jackson's awful song.

Ugh you got it stuck in my head. So I looked it up. It's by Expose. And it used to get over-fuckin-played on pop radio stations here.
