True, but unfortunately I just can't see Raine wanting to put something out that they made with Mike Turner.

I don't really agree with this, I mean there was a lot of talk about how OLP almost broke up during this last record because each member wanted or thought different songs deserved to make the album.

There's a good chance that there were songs that Raine had a strong connection with, but never made the albums.

Since they're putting out a greatest hits CD anyway, the album's going to have a lot of songs that OLP did while Mike was in the band.

However bands releasing B-sides is rare indeed, so I wouldn't count on it. It would just be great to have because I'm definitely a bigger fan of the older music and I believe it would re-invigorate and bring back a lot of fans who felt a much stronger and personal connection to their older music if some older material were to be released some day.

they should pull a tragically hip. the hip's greatest hits album was picked by the fans..two cd's full of the music the fans voted on. also, a few movie things, an amazing dvd, and a booklet, all in one creative package. it's something new and old fans can both want to get their hands on. it's a comprehensive set of the hip's best songs for the new fans, but also has a ton of extras that the old fans would want.

It's possible... if there are any older songs that Raine, Duncan, or Jeremy really like I guess they probably would be considered for inclusion.

So here's what we could possibly get.

- there were no leftover songs from the recording of Naveed, but there are the demos from before. Personal Parade and Edge of Sanity, which I think are the band As If actually. Out of Here, Sorry, and Blind Anniversary are the others that weren't used for Naveed.

- for Clumsy, they probably recorded Trapeze and possibly some others such as Home.

- for Happiness, they definitely recorded Sleeping In and worked on Ordinary Day. Perhaps others such as Yourself.

- for Spiritual Machines, they revisited Ordinary Day and Sleeping In. They also worked on A Waste of Violence and La Bra.

- for Gravity, they worked on The End Always Comes Dry and later finished up the recording. There is also Our Time Is Fading.

- for Healthy in Paranoid Times, they worked on End of the World, Enemy, Hit the Wall, Kiss on the Mouth, No Warning, Save Yourself, Talk Is Cheap, Vampires, Weight of the Lord, and a bunch of others.

- ASCAP lists Mona Lisa, the Sons of Freedom that OLP played live in 1995. This probably means they made a studio version of this cover song at some point.

Also, there are definitely other b-sides we've heard nothing about, but OLP probably wasn't as fond of them since they didn't play them live or we haven't heard as much about them.

That would be really awesome.
But knowing Sony, it'll never happen.

I know! Female undergarments worn by machines!

But actually I believe the title was revealed in a webcast and Rich and Shelley may have misheard it.

Really? They are titles of albums from this band called "Our Lady Peace"
They're pretty decent. You should give them a spin.

no one mentioned not afraid to these possible songs... considering theres about a hundred different lyric sets for it, they released it with some beer CD or something like that. But still its possible.

I think Duncan said they fucked that one up in the studio, so I'm sure they wouldn't stick the beer CD version on it, maybe an early demo... but I'd expect them to go with other stuff instead.

I doubt they "fucked" it up. The version on the beer CD is good and it's clearly had time put into it if they made so many versions. Many people believe the Juno version is better, and it is in ways, but it's a dumb excuse to say they fucked it up. That's what they put out, so they must have liked it the best or they wouldn't have. Unless, of course, they were told to make it more accessible, in which case i'm surprised they listened. Did they have a gun to their heads?

Duncan said something along the lines of "we should have stuck with the Juno version." I would be very interested to hear a studio version of Not Afraid that is similar to the Junos.
