Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Movie 5!)
The Wyrd Sisters are a canadian band... they tried to sue WB for using their name in the movie.

JK just did a new interview .. she talks about book 7:
She also talks about her mother dying and how's that affected the way she writes. This is what she mentions about HP:
Death is the key to understanding J K Rowling. Her greatest fear - and she is completely unhesitant about this - it's of someone she loves dying. "My books are largely about death. They open with the death of Harry's parents. There is Voldemort's obsession with conquering death and his quest for immortality at any price, the goal of anyone with magic.
"I so understand why Voldemort wants to conquer death. We're all frightened of it." In the seventh and final Harry Potter book, there will be deaths of both goodies and baddies.
She was talking to her husband, Neil, recently, after she had just written the death of one particular character. "He shuddered. 'Oh don't do that,' he said to me, but of course I did."
And with one swirl of her pen, millions of children will weep or rejoice. Countless Harry Potter websites try to predict what will happen in the final book. "Neil is the only person I can talk to about what happens because he instantly forgets," she says, laughing.
eeek... i wonder who she killed off that made her husband shudder and say 'oh don't do that' ... that can't be good.

maybe ron or hermione dies... although i am completely fine with ANYONE dying now because dumbledore dying caused me my greatest distress. and nothing is worse than dumbledore's death, imo.

i'm surprised joey hasn't announced this already, but...
Evanna Lynch is the new Luna Lovegood
Michael Wildman will be Magorian
Imelda Staunton will be Dolores Umbridge
Helen McCrory will be Bellatrix Lestrange
Natalia Tena will be Tonks
Kathryn Hunter will play Mrs. Figg
George Harris will play Kingsley Shacklebolt
if you see this joey, no you're not seeing double. i did take this from harry_potter

i know, umbridge is PERFECT. right on the mark. i like almost all the rest too. not too sure about natalia tena as tonks, but we'll see... not a whole lot people seem to like the luna casting, but she fits pretty well according to my view of luna. if she beat out something like 4000 (or maybe it was 40,000) girls to get the part, there has to be something redeeming about her.
magorian's a centaur.
update on casting news: since it's more or less official now (confirmed by everyone except warner bros.), i thought this might be worthy of mention:

Susie Shinner = Lily Evans (Harry's mom as seen in Snape's Pensieve)

so, lots more casting news.
<img src="http://www.clumsymonkey.net/phpBB2/files/19277.jpg">Sian Thomas will be Amelia Bones
Two boys named Jason Boyd and Richard Macklin have been cast as Dudley's friends Piers Polkiss and Malcolm. No pictures yet.
Auror Dawlish will be played by Richard Leaf. No photo yet
And most importantly, Nick Shim has been cast as Zacharias Smith. Still no pictures, but this news is pretty new, so someone will probably dig one up soon.
The Dursleys will be in this movie (how could they not be?), but there are negotiations still ongoing between Gary Oldman (Sirius) and the network for his return, which is making people kinda nervous, especially since Sirius is pretty important in this movie.

Joey wrote:my biggest beef was with dumbledore .. they changed his character too much and in most of the scenes towards the end gambon stopped wearing dumbledore's glasses entirely .. umm missing props? my friend was like, "maybe dumbledore has contacts." nooooooooooodumbledore is supposed to wear his glasses. and gambon didn't know how to pronounce the name of the beauxbaton's school .. it's FRENCH and he kept saying it wrong .. and throughout the movie they changed the pronoucement of the word 'cruciatus' twice .. once when neville said it and then when karkaroff said it .. a bit of inconsistency there.
then again gambon admits to not reading the books and says he plays dumbledore as himself entirely rather then attempt to get into character .. right.no offense sir michael gambon but i'd rather see you portraying dumbledore, not you portraying yourself. k thanks.
*twitch*
i'm okay now.
I agree with you. I personally thought Richard harris was the perfect dumbledore. He was exactly what I pictured him to be like. Gambon talks to fast, and was wicked harsh to Harry during that goblet scene. It really bugs me, and his beard was cut.

I was also upset with them not mentioning the thestrals, or showing how some people are not ready to accept Voldemorts return. meh.
Sirius was my favorite character, and I too cried at the deaths of both him and dumbledore, but I also cried at Cedrics death in the movie. Dan and the rest did an awesome job with that scene.

really?? It's been awhile since I read the 4 and 5th(My next book challenges) but I thought harry saw them on his way home, asked hermione and ron, and then luna told him about them, because he saw cedrics death.
Yes Gambon is a good actor, but not as dumbledore, especially when you had the perfect one for the first two movies.
