What are you talking about? In Repair was a huge success. Maybe they just didn't play it where you live, but didn't that video go to number one and then win Best Video at the MMVA's?

as I remember In Repair made it to #2 (first time since naveed that the debut video of an olp album didn't make it to #1), and I'm pretty sure it didn't win best video.

But, it did get a lot of radio play where I live, and as far as I'm concerned it's one of the best songs they've ever had, let alone released as a single.

I've been listening to the radio at work for the past three days now. Nothing.

However, they played "brand new blacked eyes peas!" which was actually just don't phunk with my heart. isn't that song like two months old?

actually to move in #23 from not being on the charts is pretty damn good, a lot of new songs start off on Edge around #28-30......

Yes is did. I think OLP are one of only two bands to win best video twice at the MMVA's. Click here and go to 2003 and 2001.

hey, right you are, but I'm still almost certain that it never got past #2 on the countdown - which would be weird considering it won best video. I'll try to check somehow.

Where in Alberta do you live? I'm down in Calgary.. and Cjay 92 plays In Repair a whole lot (especially when the song first came out.)

I live in Edmonton. Is Cjay 92 some kind of pop station? When "In Repair" was released, Power 92 was the pop station back then and I never heard them play that song. I did hear it quite a few times on The Bear (rock station). "Right Behind You" was even less well-received. I think I've only heard it about 5 times and all those times were on The Bear.

I have no doubt that OLP is one of Canada's well-known bands but that doesn't mean that all their singles are popular.

Here's a poll off of the Edge's (Toronto) website jsut a few minutes ago.
Doesn't say how many votes but it's been up all day.

11% Best Thing They've Ever Done
46% Good
26% Bad
16% Never Heard It

I voted in the Good category.
I can't say it's the greatest thing ever from them but it is good nonetheless.

Can't wait to start hearing it here in he US (Aside form Detroit) and see the reation here.

I remember that Power 92 used to ALWAYS play "Thief", "Automatic Flowers", and "Carnival" (I could be wrong about that one but when I finally bought Clumsy, that song was so familiar).

The Bear?

Yeah, 100.3 the Bear is an Edmonton rock station.
