Where Are You is popular!

Post by naveed99 »

I found it interesting. I thought this song was going to ruin OLP. Tonight, I turned on my radio station, and every night there is a music showdown between bands. I was surprised to here OLP against Greenday. So callers began calling in to vote and olp got almost every vote. i found ou tthat this has happened for the last 8 nights, beating out coldplay, greenday, u2, and the like. This was surprising, i never thought it would be this well recieved. Anybody finding the same thing?

where are you from? it's good to see the success. I'm not too suprised by it. It's a likeable song, catchy, but at the same time its unique..it's olp.

The song reached number on tonight on Windsor/Detroit's 89x radio. It was the most requested song of the day. Pretty good since it's only been on the air for a week.

Im surprised, I NEVER thought it would be successful. In my opinion, this was the worst of the songs ive heard. This album will be very successful. I think where are you is successful because it stands out. WE have guys saying its too mainstream, but its not. It so different. You dont hear anything like that.

Yeah I am not surprised. Its a very poppy song but the thing is all the rock band out there now are doing these power balled type songs, so something up tempo is a nice change.

I totally love this song now, and it's great to see the reaction. Now that Canada looks like it will be firmly in OLPs grasp *evil laugh* let's see how the single performs in the states....

Keep on posting the radio reactions.. I'm interested in seeing how the single does in other parts of the country.

I hope the video is neat! Maybe like a "Where's Waldo" theme but you have to find the members of the band and they should have ex-members throughout the video too.

You know what? I used to hate that song too (prefered the original version). But this evening, I heard it premiered on Radioenrgie 94.3 in Montreal and it rocked. For some reason, songs are better when you're not expected to hear it.

Wow...

I must admit I'm surprised. I know OLP is big in the area, but I'd figure this single would need time to take off.

Maybe the band knew what they were doing when they chose the single.

Nam should write all of OLP's video concepts.

Hopefully Columbia spends some money on the video..The "Somewhere Out There" video was pretty cheesy for a hit song..The Innocent video, I liked...simple but cool. My favorite vid from the band is One Man Army..cool video.

^ One Man Army was definately awesome.

Well, if the cover art is any indication.. we could get a cool video. And I hope it won't just be on video, but a whole litany of cool videos from the new album. It's odd, but OLP has had an endless stream of cool videos since the Birdman except SWOT. Oh, and the clowns from the US version of Superman's Dead were ultra freaky. (totally unlike the wicked Canadian version).

I'm not suprised. OLP is popular. They've been gone a long time and like Green Day and U2, the comeback will be big. Also, the song is really good.

Until Gravity, OLP produced awesome videos.

But then, until Gravity, OLP also produced awesome music. :P
