The thing that I always loved about OLP's videos is that they always captured the emotion of the music... which really didn't happen with something like Somewhere Out There.

It'd be great if they put out a video that captured the upbeat energy of the song... for some reason I keep on picturing OLP on jet skis.

Just picture it:

I hope you're joking.

That would really be the last nail in the coffin.

My first thought when you said that was this:

Steal My Sunshine by Len. I don't remember if there were any jet skis in this video, or just mopeds. But either way I think this is a direction no one wants to see OLP go.

Well, maybe Nam.

I can't decide who's cooler; the pimp, the wrestler, or Gilligan...

I'm actually surprised at that reaction to the song. It just never striked me as the type of single that would catch on so quickly. I still think that Will The Future Blame Us has huge radio hit written all over it.....

That said, this is in Canada we're talking about. OLP is an established band within the Canadian Market and is coming off of two huge radio hits in SOT and Innocent and a double platinum (almost triple i believe?) album. Plus they've been away from the spotlight for a long time..... so this is highly anticipated release.

It's in the States where it gets kind of tricky to predict IMO.... That's where we'll see if this song has the radio friendliness that a 1st single usually does.

Yes, I am also of the opinion that Will the Future Blame Us has major potential. It will rain blood if they don't release that as a single.

I think Angels would make a nice third single as well. There is just so much to like about that song.

I don't know what it is about this song but it does make a good radio single. I really didn't like it when I first heard it after getting it from the Hub but when I finally heard it on the radio, I thought "wow, that's a pretty good song!"

I'm gonna have to start listening to the radio again 'cause I don't know what the reaction to "Where Are You" is around here but I'm surprised to hear that it's being well-received elsewhere. I don't think the reason that OLP is a well-established band in Canada is it. When songs like "In Repair" and "Made of Steel" were released as singles, they barely got any responses.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Where in Alberta do you live? I'm down in Calgary.. and Cjay 92 plays In Repair a whole lot (especially when the song first came out.)

Besides maybe the Hip and Nickelback, OLP is the only Canadian band I can think of that can sell out arenas in Canada. Maybe Sum 41 too.... I'd venture to say that they are on the top tier of Canadian bands right now, no? I mean all of their albums in Canada have gone at least double platinum from what i can recall....... that's pretty impressive.

gahhh yeah he does
*freaks*

im not caring too too too much about the video right now but i hope it's nothing like SOT. and yeah capturing the emotion of the song (even though i don't really find any in Where Are You) would be good...
