I just found this short parody on the arguments against Moore. Though it's exaggerated, it makes the point that people are just looking for faults (which, in many cases, are there), and ignoring the truth:

Michael Moore: The State Department gave the Taliban $41 million two months before 9-11.

Bush-Backer: Bill O'Reilly just said it was $40 million. Moore is a liar and he is fat!

Michael Moore: The President was presented a report that said that Al Queda will attack the US with hijacked planes. The President elected to play 18 holes of golf that day.

Bush-Backer: Rush just said Bush played only the front nine. Moore is a liar and he is fat!

Michael Moore: Though air traffic was frozen to all Americans, the Bin Laden family was flown out just two days after 9-11 at the approval of the administration.

Bush-Backer: Tenet approved that! Moore is a liar and he is fat!

hopefully this movie will open American voter's eyes because Bush is such a moron and he needs to go. And I don't think Moore is bias, he's just exposing the other side of the story. All the news stations show Bush at his best and all the soilders saying they agree with him and are glad to be fighting. But they never show how much of an idiot Bush is or the soilders who are against the war and bush. And that's all Moore is doing.

as much as i hate bush, you cannot, under any circumstances, believe everything that michael moore says. sure, he gives facts, put he pieces them together in a way that makes bush look like more of an asshole.

and to the comment about moore not being bias, ha. seriously, c'mon now. moore is about the most bias person i have ever seen on tv.

also, moore does not present both sides of the story which is simply why it should not be called a documentary but rather an opinion piece. for example, moore blasts the senate for allowing the us to go to war and says that it is only because they do not have family fighting in the war and therefore do not realize what is at risk. a senator from north carolina (i may be wrong) that moore interviewed told moore that his nephew is fighting in iraq right now. somehow, that part didn't make it into the movie.

i like michael moore--he opens up people's eyes. he gets people to talk about what is going on. but we cannot take everything the movie portrays as totally factual information. the movie was edited incredibly.

moore = leftist bush.

they both use the same tactics, they both create false pretense, and run on emotions to move their agendas foward.

here's a concept, tell the truth, and stop bullshitting the american public, both bush and moore.

I agree that the movie does not portray all factual information but at least it will open voter's eyes and get Bush out. And the movie does only present one side of the story but so do all new stations. So instead of telling people a lot of what they hear on the news, he informs everyone of side that you don't hear on Tv, the side that is "unpopular", "politically incorrect" and "unpatriotic" (apparently)

Holy Crap. Did anyone see him on the Today show? I only saw it on the Daily Show with Jon Steward. Anyway, the interviewer was asking Moore about his response to the "propaganda" allegations. He said the only propaganda was on the CBS news. He completely insulted the station he was on! It was beautiful.

Sure. Someone just posted that in a Fark forum (they just wrote it on the spot in disgust at the way people were arguing about Moore).

I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 last night. Moore made some good points and some of the ways he pointed them out were hilarious  . On the other hand he didn't show the other side of the story. For example, when he was talking about the election and stuff he didn't really talk about Al Gore. My friend told me that Gore said that he invented the internet or something. Has anybody heard about this?

moore is a brilliant man, he shows the side of the story that the government doesn't want you to see, the mistakes that were made, and just what kind of crap happens these days, he is brilliant

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

he's not that smart.

he makes a movie which makes the critical flaws in democracy crystal clear but he's still going to vote for kerry.

i dont think he is all that smart either, he just put on film what has been known for over a year if you do a bit of reading and presented it in an entertaining way.

He's a talent at what he does. Not many people can make movies as well as he can. I mean to win the Oscar and Palme d'or are both great accomplishments from a film makers point of view no matter the actual content of the film.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

His movies don't show the other side... because he is trying to make people believe his point of view. He won't show anything for the other side, because it doesn't agree with his beliefs.

Same thing goes for "Bowling For Columbine" he showed us exactly what he wanted us to see.
