Fahrenheit 9/11

Post by Neil »

So..........Michael Moore is back. His new film is entering the competition at the Cannes. Anybody interested in seeing this?? Disney is trying their damndest to have it blocked from Miramax ever getting the video to the public.

Disney fears they will lose all their tax breaks because they know it will "anger" Jeb Bush.

I'd like to see it. Bowling For Columbine and Roger & Me were both well done, informative, and delightfully sarcastic.

Yeah.....I wondered about that too. But then I also wondered if there was some underwriting shit that's keeping him from that.

Seems like somebody else could throw him an offer at the Cannes Film Festival 'ur something.

I wanna see it.......I think it could be very interesting. I bet Kerry is pretty interested in it too! haha

Disney pulled out of the project, so this could take a while.

Bowling for Columbine was awesome. The first time I met a Canadian I asked them if they locked their doors.

if my mom and i go shopping, and she is taking stuff out of the trunk of the car and i go into the house first, i will forget that she is still outside and lock the door. a minute later, i hear screaming and banging on the door.

yeah

I was a huge fan when I first saw BFC, then I found out how he misrepresented things and downright lied. I like his points, but now I have no respect for how he gets to them.

I see Michael Moore as kind of a super liberal Bill O'Reilly. You can't accept what either of them says at face value.

Of course you have to sift through the bullshit to find the truth, but the same goes for any source. Moore's giving a point of view, not hard facts. Still funny as hell and worth watching.

I'd like to see this film. I really liked Bowling For Columbine, so I figure it will be of the same brilliance.

Definately worth a watch, at least.

yeah i want to see it, although i wouldn't go as far as saying Kerry will love it. Of course it will concentrate on Bush. But Michael takes his share of shots at the Democrats, calling them pussies, and saying if they were a real party they could be Bush. He also said they're proffesional losers, and if anyone can lose an election it's them, hell they even got more votes then Bush in Florida and STILL lost.
