What happened to yours?
Whats the best kind of wood to use? And does the shape affect it? Or just like the ballance or something?

I own a Yamaha AES 820. Its in the shop getting painted. I should mention thats its been in the shop since January :uhh:

Whats taking them so long? and can someone ellaborate on how the shape/body affects the sound plz?

Mohagony-round and warm

Alder-rock sounds; chunky up ranger sounds.

Ash-blues/country -lower range sounds

It depends on what type of sound you want and the shape of the guitar doesnt affect the sound.

Good luck man, you're going to need it. Building a guitar is super hard work.

Thx a lot man, I knew the wood made a difference but these other guys made it sounds like the shape did too, thx for clearing that up for me. And ya, I know its gonna take a lot, thx.
