Bowling for Columbine had it's whacked out moments.......what release whatsoever from Moore doesn't have its whacked out moments???

But certain parts opened my eyes...

well of course he's biased, and he does take his views to an extreme, but you can still take something good away from his work even if you don't agree with everything he says or presents...

watching his movies with an open mind is a good idea...

i'm just glad his films are making people look at both sides of an issue rather than blindly obeying their government without question

So this movie won the Pale d'or at Cannes, which is the award given to the top film. I desperately hope people will go see this movie. Hopefully it will spark some conversation, much as B4C did, only this time it could cause far more political unrest than any form of media in history. Let's just keep our finger's crossed.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Psst... Moore's an American...

And it's a completely different thing here. People don't call people who fully believe their goverment "fools" for being biased. They call them "fools" simply for fully believing their government. Bias has nothing to do with it. :P

But seriously, I don't think bias comes into a lot of arguments as long as the biased person does make some really good points (like Moore).

actually Moore supports Oprah

so when an American has his bias everyone likes to think he's a fool for beliving everything his government tells him,

what i meant by these Americans is that lots of the time (not all of the time) but lots of the time, they listen to what the government says and don't question it at all...they just believe it because the government said it...these are the people i would brand as fools....

there are others who hear what the government says, think it through, examine both sides, and still come out agreeing with the government...these people i respect because they don't blindly follow their government....and i certainly wouldn't call them fools...

but when moore makes a bias movie he gets an award? :P

unfortunately, some peoples opinions are more valued, popular, or shocking than others. therefore, they get more recognition, respect, etc.

crazy world we live in i tell you...

They believe it because they're too lazy to research things on their own.

Michael Moore is popular because of his entertainment value. If he had the same message but didn't use extravagant tactics, no one would know who he is.

So apparently michael moore interviewed Nick Berg before he was decapitated. He didn't put it in the movie because it's too controversial, but apparently Nick was scared at the time. He knew he was in Jeopardy.

The interview was privately released to his family only. I thought that was nice.

i like this guy, he's a good one in my books.

speaking of books, i'm disgusted at how politicians and the media can sit there and completely harp on about the lyrical content of music, but when it comes to books, they all want you to grab as many as you can, and read as much as posible. yet sometimes i see alot of "questionable content" in books, and there are no parental labels on books, or no rating system. this is why i dislike books and authors in particular.

good point about books. Although sadly some books are censored.
