I knew your name is Landon!

I like the name Taylor too, boy or girl, but it had to grow on me.

I knew that too!! I just wasn't here to see the thread til now. :(

And, my name's on a steady decline. In 1990, it was 13 and 2002 it was 37.

It's weird to me that my name's so high, cos I rarely meet other Nicoles. I mean, it happens, cos duh, my name's not UNcommon... but it doesn't happen all that much.

*checks Nikki just for the heck of it* Yup, that's on a decline, too. Was 298 in 1990 and 735 in 2002.

I'm becoming more rare.

In 1990 Susan was 179. Then it went steadily downhill to 475 in 2002.

I bet it was more popular in 1977. There are two Soozys at my work and the other one's only a year younger than me.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

My name has almost been in the top 500 for the past 15 years.

About 15 years ago it was almost top 200. Whoh, and I really don't know anybody with my name. Weird.

read down further in the top 10 names of years. From 1960-1997 Jennifer was the #1 name a few years running.

1960-1961-Mary
1962-1970-Lisa
1971-1984-Jennifer
1985-1987-Jessica
1988-Ashley
1989-1990-Jessica
1991-Ashely
1992-1995-Jessica
1996-1997 Emily

My neighbor named their Daughter Emily. She was born in Jan.
these are for USA.

My name seem to be the highest in the30'(262) 40'(164), 50'(43) and 60'(123)0(349) although some it is spelled Gayle( which I hate when people spell my name like that. )It didn't even make the 90's. I like looking at the names on the list though.

Oh Nikki. I love your name. I wanted to name my daughter ( if I had one)Rebekka Nicole. If I had Twins(boy/girl) I was going to name them Nicole and Nicolas. There is a twin line in my family.

sadly so I can not really have children. Hey what you going to do. There is so much stuff ot there now. I just don't know if/when the time comes if I want to go through all that stuff. I told my friends in about 5 years I may look into adoption or something like foster parent.

Right now I have enough just to take care of my cats. I am out of the house 12+ hours a day.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I honestly think it's 2004........unless you have "family heritage" reasons for naming your child, get creative.

I know a couple people who recently had kids......and one named their son Jim and the other named their daughter Diane.

That's why I'm naming my son Tagan. Gonna call him "Tag" for short.
