so ... if this rumour is actually true (and I'm not believing anything until it's official), when do you think we'd get to hear the first single from it?
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I'm dissapointed.
Matt Good better keep his word, and also better keep me preoccupied until August 04
Again, this isn't anybody's "word". And Matt Good's release date isn't his "word" either, it's his record company's.
Also, this is an "unnammed source" who "talked to Raine". Yeah, sounds reliable. Could be true, but I doubt it is.

Actually it is all my fault. I told them I wasn't going to really see them live this year-so that is why it keeps getting pushed back.

I think Raine and Bono are in cohouts. The U2 CD was suppose to be released in March(like OLP were hoping for) then it got pushed back to September. I am waiting to see who will release their CD first. OLP or U2.

At least Matt Good has new stuff coming out soon and I keep hearing the new Tea Party cd will be out in soon]

Well I'll show you Raine and Bono! I'll just....find...someone else to listen to! So there!
How are they ruining your musical year?
Yeah we will listen to the Next American Idol singer and see Clay and Rueben on tour.

I liked it better when you were blaiming them.

he just took the fall for the butler!
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

This is definitely the longest break OLP has ever taken. They haven't done a show since September and (apparently) won't be doing one until summer. Not even the guitarist transition was this long
It's probably good though. Raine's voice really had started to sound rough some nights and I think he'll be a lot fresher and better sounding.
