Why Is Nothing Happening?

Post by Baby Thief »

Come on now. We've heard nothing for quite sometime... with the album supposed release date nearing I was expecting to hear something. We don't know anything yet.

here's hoping it's a hella cool storm.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

Before I even clicked on this thread I was going to say the exact same thing.

Remember Spiritual Machines? How that kinda just plopped in our laps? I think gonna be kinda like that. One day very soon we will hear something pretty big (IE single, tracklisting, CD name, tour dates) and then it will all blossom from that point.

And do I hope for their best album? Of course! Do I think it will happen? No way. Even without the "new direction", topping SM would be next to impossible. Will it be better than Gravity and therefore a CD I'm gonna love listening to? All signs point to yes thus far.

I wasn't really around the OLP scene with SM. I liked them and all, but i just became a fan in the past year or so.

Topping SM would be quite a difficult feat. From what i've heard, I'm leaning more towards the Clumsy sort of cd. That would be fine with me!

Topping SM

Post by PeaceEleven »

Spiritual Machines is impossible to beat. With their new direction it can be interesting but topping SM is not even a thought in my mind. No way....

I smell one of those threads where everyone argues over which album is the best coming up...

SM could be beat.

Just not with the direction the band's taking...

Agreed. It's highly unlikely and I think it would probably be something that would come a few records in the future (if there are that many).

I don't think that's happening. As said before it could but I don't think they have enough years left in them to get back on track.

But here's hoping it's still coolness. which it will be.[/u]
