So I still don't get what the fuss is about this band.I bought the "Rush" album like half a year ago,but only played entirely the album twice. With Chris Martin(the lead guy)'s sick voice,It always makes me uncomfortable and want to fall asleep.I have to admit that this band is one of the bands that's annoying me now!And they're getting so big?!!If I had to buy a DVD/CD combo,I would rather go for Avril Lavigne's My World...Sigh,should've only downloaded "The Scientist".
Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice...
Well, when someone gets big and is liked by many people, you most likely will be influenced by huge media coverage and the people around you. It's a natural thing, like peer pressure. Therefore, you are gonna probably be buying the records and start listening to them. After awhile, you kinda learn that this doesn't make that much sense to you so you dump them.To me, one good example is Coldplay,I listened to them because of the hype.As opposed to Coldplay,I love Our Lady Peace for their touching music, not any hype!...And,your homie Christina Aguilera has a power-house voice and great talent, and gets lots of hype ever since she debuted in 1999.But obviously,a number of people stopped listening to her when Stripped came out last year...So you know, sometimes you have to go for what you really like, despite the media and peer pressure.
Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice...
excuse me, but i dont like coldplay because of the hype i started liking them before there major popularity hit the US when A rush of blood to the head was released, and christina aguilera isnt my "homie". I hate her with a passion, honestly, its not a big deal whether you like coldplay or not... just drop it, its not that important

It's getting a little awkward. What I was saying is sometimes you have to experience listening to someone's music just to know whether you like it or not,it takes time to realize...I'm not only talking about Coldplay, but some kind of experience in a large sense. Some artists' music is like "a rush of blood to the head" - It will go away after a short while. No disrespect, just quoting.
Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice...

well now you've lost me.
see, the thing is, without all the hype around a band no one would know they exist. Its half the point. I have found that bands want two things. one is to make good music and two is for people to enjoy their music. If you have never heard of them how are you going to know if you like them or not?

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
