Coldplay: Live 2003

Post by Axtech »

Anyone who's even remotely a fan of Coldplay should definately pick up this DVD. It was only $19 at HMV, and it has a DVD and a Live CD. The concert is amazing, the Tour Diary is very cool with some funny outbursts and the CD is a really good listen. You have no reason not to! Think about it this way; it costs less than half the cost of OLP's DVD and Live CD.

I like how every once in a while it goes to black and white for dramatic affect. Like in Trouble. Very nicely done on the whole.

And though the hum and sway gets me down

I picked it up when I got the OLP DVD, and I'm watching it through now.

I'd have to say the best song on there is Everything's Not Lost.

edit: Wow, I'm a moron. It's not a new one. I just haven't listened to Parachutes in a while.

When I first heard Coldplay it was Yellow, like 3 years ago probably. That song angered me for some reason, I didnt even bother trying their songs that came after that because Yellow bothered me so much. Then I heard Clocks, and fell in love. Surprisingly enough, I even like Yellow now...wow, I'm weird :freak:

Same here - when "Yellow" made it to mainstream, I hated the damn song. But then after I got addicted to "Clocks", I found myself loving "Yellow"

My new Rolling Stone gave the DVD a "so so" rating.....they basically said that Coldplay tried to do their DVD like U2, but failed at being as great.

Nothing related to this topic...I was just aware of this trend of releasing CD/DVD combos.Last year,Alanis Morissette and some Josh Groban guy did it,which was a pretty creative idea. This year,it's been crazed! As far as I know,50 cent & R.Kelly did it,Avril Lavigne and Coldplay just did it,and J.Lo,Linkin Park and Moby are going to do it,or they have just done it...I personally prefer to see these released separately, rather than as a combo. It would be better for collecting and artistry...But obviously this is a new idea of artists and record companies cashing in.Would it be awesome if OLP releases one?!Hopefully not. :)
Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice...

Coldplay's was just a Live CD based on the DVD. It's basically the same as OLP's Live DVD and CD, but less than half the price for both.
