I have to say, that other then the birdman skipping thing (that was on my DVD ) I love having the DVD. I am very happy with it actually. I thought it was great. All that home video stuff made it seem very personal and not like it was made for media.
if you didnt realize all the band memebers change into their costumes before show time...if you meet them before they are wearing different clothes
its hard as hell to meet the band before shows (like villanova for example) in canada.. especially since theyve been doing arena shows lately .. plus she lives in newfoundland.. and the guys dont really do too many shows on "the rock"..(think about it this way, lots of folks complain about them not touring canada much, they do less shows on the east coast then anywhere else in canada in terms of relative distances and on top of that.. most major bands who tour eastern canada goto halifax, the largest city on the east coast..
oh and since some maybe wondering why im bothering to "argue" all of this or whatever, i grew on the east coast of canada.. so i know my shit bout that area
If there was an emoticon to glare I would be using it right now.
I am aware that the band has other clothes. I am also aware that they change for the show. I don't think Jeremy would wear shorts in the middle of a canadian winter for any other reason. I was just kidding around when I said the whole four shirts thing cause Steve has worn the same shirt in the four videos hes in and that sort of thing. You should know, I am rarely serious about these things.

While its never fashionable to stick up for the record labels, the Albini article has been out and discredited for some time.
It is fairly documented that without the exposure a record label provides a band, a full-scale tour would be impossible. Then take into account the marketing costs associated with introducing a new band. The costs are substantial.
Then one must consider that a band's talent usually develops further on the basis of capital a record label provides. For example, lets say "Jimmy's Chicken Shack" practices 3 nights a week in between day jobs. Record label x comes along and plops down a big fat development deal and all of a sudden "Jimmy's Chicken Shack" has a rehearsal space, some new gear and can now practice 7 times a week.
You start to see why the record label model became popular.
The shitty part is that the label wants a return on the investment and hooks "Jimmy's Chicken Shack" in for 7 albums. Unfortunately, we as the general public are a fickle bunch. Chances are "Jimmy's Chicken Shack" won't make it to 7 albums, so the record label cuts its losses by keeping the masters.
Whichever way you cut it, without Sony you wouldn't have OLP. Bands often don't stay together without the bonds that commerce instill.
But we're still getting way off topic.
Don't blame Sony when OLP sucks.
Sony suck enough without having to take responsibility for the steaming pile of DVD currently residing in my Home Entertainment unit.
I love how you put Jimmy's Chicken Shack in quotes every time you said their name, like they're not a real band... though it's actually "Jimmie's".

Isn't it a shame?!Today I went to Futureshop,Sunrise Rcords,Music World and HMV,there's OLP DVD available in neither of the stores.Fortunately I got it the day it came out from Futureshop, which used to carry the DVD for awhile...Are they taking all the copies back?
Shame on you if you fool me once, shame on me if you fool me twice...
I haven't been able to put my hands on this DVD considering I live in South America and that's a pain when it comes to buying OLP or even MGB things.
Well, from the original post, this does seem to be a crappy DVD. I think there should be more tunes and the bonus should be better. But well, I think I'll have to get it until I can speak about it.
I am in love with this DVD.
Mainly cause I have used it as background music for the past couple of days.
But its exactally what I was expecting because I didn't think this was going to be anything mind blowing.

I got mine the other day. I haven't hooked up the DVD p[alyer yet, so I don't know it it will play in mine. My friend said it palyed in hers, but not ont he playstation.
I hav eto say the sigs are cool. I never saw Raine sign like that before and I actually got a full Steve instead of Ste. Jeremy and Duncan look the same. I think Raine wrote RM instead of Raine. That is the only thing I could figure out it says. Jermey is JT 7, and Duncan is his first name. I think Mike was the only one who put his las tname. I find it funny that there is always one band member who writes there fullname wil others do initals or first name.
