i never liked john mayer much either. but after seeing him not only perform on MOD, but watching the I&I on MuchMoreMusic, i must say i am completely infatuated with him and his music. i think he's so cute in a weird way. he's like nerd-cool. i dont know. and his songs are also amazing... i fell in love with Bigger Than My Body the first time i heard it. And i love every other song of his i've heard, and im in the process of downloading a bunch.

I thought I'd revive this thread to suggest that everyone download 'comfortable', I think it's an older song but I could be wrong . . . anyway, really beautiful song, I think he really has a good grasp on what relationship can be like.
I've never heard any of his stuff other than the singles . At first I thought he was just another jack ass. I hated his first two singles, but I have to admit, I actually kinda like Why Georgia and Bigger than my Body.

John Mayer is an exceptional guitarist... i saw him in Boone NC about two and a half years ago before anyone knew who he was... he can really play the guitar, and his early stuff with just him and his guitar is awesome...
but like most pop stars, they have to please the masses to become pop stars, and to stay pop stars.,... so when john mayer broke down and signed a record deal, the company added all this crappy stuff to his music and made him sing about crap.. so who is to blame... mayer for signing his soul over to a record company, or the record company for making another musician a pop star?
see, i think he is doing what he wants to do. his music has been consistant and he isnt the type of person to play music to sell records. I do think he is doing what he wants to do. its a shame that he wants to play crap is all.
