"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

because, its most likely atleast the last one for quite some time because they themselves have said that they'd take a break after this album and raine is also going to be working with chantal. that's why i want this album to be the best.

im sure it will be good, but i would go on a hampster killing spree if it turned out as horrible as st anger.

I am looking forward to the new cd...

And i too... have sadly been thinking that this will be their last as well... until they released a live cd. That made me think... well... why would they do that and come out with another new cd after that instead of just ending it with a live cd? And they have said the live cd was a closing of the chapter cd. If they are starting a new chapter, they will finish it.

This better not be the end.
and if it is, they better go out in style.

Thats all I am going to say

I think they might take a huge break...like U2...but will come back.

I guess that's just wishful thinking, but I'd like to think that will happen.

I completely agree, I can foresee a break after this coming album, but I seriously don't see the end of OLP.

A part of me wishes they just ended before Gravity.

But a larger part still has hope for the future, assuming there is one.

Guys don't worry.

OLP aren't planning on breaking up now.... if something new comes up, like another person leaves the band... or they get in a big fight or something, then maybe then they will be done. But they can't be planning on breaking up now. They've just gotten the fan base in the US that they have yearning for for so long. And they all seem very happy with what's going on now.

A Break... yeah i could see that, but i would have thought that they would have waited for the live cd and dvd for during their break so they aren't forgotten.

Just my other thoughts about this.

I'm one of their "new US fans", as I only started listening to them a few months ago. Oddly, my first CD of theirs was Naveed, then Live, then Clumsy, then SM, then Happiness. I don't even own Gravity, nor have I heard any tracks not on Live. So, not all US fans just like Gravity. I'm looking forward to the new album a lot, based on Not Afraid and Walking in Circles...I'm not sure if I like WTSOYF yet, I need to listen to it more.

... i don't think talk is cheap is going to be on the new cd. I heard somewhere that they're done recording and Raine only said that walking in circles and wtsoyf are going to be on it. Plus they ahven't played talk is cheap for a long time.... i thought that was the ebst of the new songs. God this sucks. I don't even think not Afraid will be on there.

there should be a huge contest, and whoever wins it gets to go produce with olp and make sure they dont fuck it up by not putting talk is cheap and not afraid in.
