yea maybe duncan didn't record naveed but he started on that tour... so he's been on every album since naveed.... and jeremy was on naveed... so id consider him to be a pretty original member...

a bunch of you mentioned OLP haven't done older stuff(besides the norm) on this tour. I hate to tell you but they didn't do alot of Older stuff on the SM tour either(excpet the staples they did at every show) and MIKE TURNER was on that one. I saw 13 shows on that tour and the songs were basically the same give or take a few here and there. Why was the tours for Gravity any different?If you didn't have aproblem with the setlist for SM tour, why with Gravity. same princible.
besided except for DIEHARDS not many people see the same show over and over again, so it doesn't really matter. If it did, why still go over and over if you know it is going to be the same. I jsut saw the Foo Fighters and I knew what they would open with, close with and what would be said in between. does that make them a bad band.

Why would I get "ripped" for that........I think my point was valid and reasonable. I'm not asking for blind faith or for people just to like something because someone did it.........that defeats the purpose. All I wanted was some common decency. Fan means friend to me. We should act like their friends. I know that sounds quite simple, but I think its sums up the way I feel on this issue.

I have been disappointed obviously. More than that in many cases. My point isn't in reference to "friends to the end". Being a friend is about solving problems together, and about respect. Being pissed at a friend doesn't mean I tear them down at every turn. IT seems a lot of people here are tearing OLP down pretty good. What I didn't elaborate on earlier is that just because you are disappointed doesn't mean you should disrespect them and say "this is total shit".......it makes me wonder when "fans" talk like that. Would you say that to their face??
My question is, are you a fan if you don't respect the band now?
Liking the old stuff doesn't make you a fan of the band now......just a fan of a previous band called OLP.......they are different now......different faces, and different music.

You know, saying all this on some message board does no good. The band is never going to read it, unless you direct them to it.
So... Why doesn't someone a) Talk to the band about our feelings on this 'new direction' or whatever you want to call it, b) show them to the message board, to this particular topic and get them to read it, or c) be quiet because it's all been said before and does no good anyway
