I hope this is goodbye wrote:I would like to see a video for Blister.

I have this odd image of the video where the band plays in a small room, and the video is black and white, with flashes of color, or for you Canadian folk, colour.

For the non-band part of the video, here's my idea. There's a guy tied to a chair. He's bruised and bloodied and left in a dark room with faint light coming in, while it's raining outside. There would be flashbacks of the guy having what happened to him to get into this situation as the song describes, like him being chased and captured. When the song hits the music part before the last chorus, the guy gets free, breaks a window, and he's frantically running with lots of flashes of color while there's a car running starting to chase him down. He gets into a house and locks the door. Then at the end of the song where Raine goes "I'm waiting for, they're at my door," the camera has the view of breaking down the door and the guy that broke free is shaking with a shotgun in his hand, pointed at the camera.

Now you all have to tell me what you think of that idea for the video.

8O That's breathtaking...

I would love to see videos for Neon Crossing, Big Dumb Rocket, Car Crash, Stealing Babies, Everyone's a Junkie, Are You Sad?, Made of Steel, Our Time Is Fading, Whatever.....some great concepts come to mind for all of these!
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

Lots of rain, and a really horrible wreck, with the band playing in the rain and stuff with all the cops and ambulances and fire trucks..

to expand upon that how about raine sitting in the passenger seat of the wrecked car looking on while he sinigs or something. then other band memebers could be like walking alongside the girney while it gets wheeled off or standing over while cpr is administered. and of course mix with clips of the band playing. it could be pretty creepy.

lol maybe steve could just be a fireman.

The way I figured it, for the Car Crash video, it starts off where you just see the ground, and of course it's all wet 'cause it's raining, and there's a bit of light coming from the top left corner like from a street light or something. So then the camera goes up and you can see a car, and everything's all dark, right, a lot of shadows and the car's parked in front of a house or some kind of building, and four people walk out when the drums start, and again they're all shadows, you can't really see them, and they get into the car.

So then, when Raine starts singing, you just get this kind of close up shot of his mouth or whatever (Tired..and jaded...this road is unsafe..) then you get this close up shot of Mike's hand playing guitar (I use Mike, 'cause of they were gonna me a video of this, Mike would have been in the band then.) Then a shot of Duncan's hand, and then a shot of Jeremy, and this is all pretty quick right. Then you get this shot of the car, driving on a two-lane road in the middle of nowhere, just all kinds of trees and the occasional car passes them. And you see the driver's eyes, and they do the whole droopy tired eyelids bit, and you know, shots of his hands on the wheel and stuff like that. And then, just before the chorus starts, you see this car coming at them, and then the driver's eyes go wide and he tries to swerve, and then just before they would hit, there's a shot of the band again, and they're standing in the middle of the road while it's raining and they play the chorus, right, (and there's always that shot of Mike wailing on the guitar) so when the next verse starts, you get a good shot of the cars, and they're smashed to hell, right. There's a bunch of cops everywhere, stopping traffic and what not, and firemen and ambulance attendants all doing their things. And it looks like they'r erushing around but everything's moving kind of slow, and the band's standing there right in the middle of it all, playing, and nobody notices them. So the firemen pry open the car that we saw at the beginning with the jaws of life, and pull the bodies out and everything, and you still can't really see them. So they put them in the body bags and everything and carry them away, and then all the ambulances and everything pull away and the band's just standing there in front of a fire truck, and the fire truck drives away and you can see a car that looks like the car in the beginning. So they leave all their instruments and get into the car and drive away as the song fades out.

That was a lot longer than I expected :freak:

Alan, I love your blister video idea. I think it would also go along well with the separate rooms/scientists idea.

I do like the white padded walls idea for the band part. Put the band in a tiny room and have them playing without emotion. I always saw the drumset in the middle with an uninterested Jeremy playing, Duncan behind Jeremy with his head down randomly plucking his parts, Raine barely seen in the upper corner strumming on the acoustic and singing, and Mike in a back corner playing his parts. They would have to look uninterested, like they were forced to play. I wonder how we could tie the scientists into the whole idea for my part of the video with the random person being chased down.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
