He's not leaving to get away from fans, but to get closer to his family.

ya I don't think he'd mind a card. I don't see how that would interfere with his life and time away from work, if anything it would show him that we're happy for him. I dunno how anyone would not want that.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I believe Duncan is actually expecting twins. They are due anytime.

Rob Higgins will be in on bass again in Duncan's absence. I work with Rob every once and a while. Rob's having quite a busy summer himself with his new band The Royals, but definitely wouldn't pass up an OLP gig! Rob was approached about this several months ago... it's just to fill in the 3 Doors Down tour. Apparently, he's "on call" to start the second the twins are born and will continue to the end of the 3 Doors Down shed dates. That's all, no big deal.

My apologies if this has been covered already. I just stopped in -- haven't had a chance to read through everything.

9 months ago was *does some quick counting* October 16, or somewhere around there.

I want him to name one of the twins Richele...it doesn't matter if it's a girl or a boy even. That'd be amazingly cool.

Yeah - the only reason I know about this is because I work with Rob (besides being a legendary musician sought after by a couple well-known Canadian acts, he picks up the odd day-time gig :D ).

I met Rob last summer... worked with him a couple times before I found out his last name and his previous relationship to OLP. It came out rather funny. He asked if I was doing anything interesting for the summer, to which I replied, "not at all -- the most exciting thing I've done is go to Sarnia [Bayfest show] to see Our Lady Peace." He politely said, "oh that's cool... they're good guys, I played with them for a bit." From that point on, he obviously became a good buddy of mine on the job :) Everytime I work with him, we end up just telling each other OLP stories.

I think Rob was contacted back in April about this. At that point he was given the general time-frame of "late-July / early August" to start. He told me he'd be doing mainly the southern dates... which are still a bit off. So you can gather a predicted due date from that. At one point -- I'm not sure if it's still true -- they planned on having both him and Duncan on the tour together. As soon as Duncan got word, he could take the next flight home and Rob would take the stage that night! Rob is, literally, standing by. The last time I spoke to him was a few weeks ago, and he still didn't have any more specifics.

I'm not at liberty to say why Duncan is off, he's off for personal reasons. As always I'm more than happy to pass stuff off to the band, just send it to fanmail@ourladypeace.net
