i'm really going to have to read it now to see if it's really that bad.

now that i think about it i don't think it's integrated into our school curriculum.

That would be if my name was William Robert, not Robert William. I suppose you could call me Bobby Bill, but I'd prefer you don't...

Things I've liked about FotF so far:

-Seeing the start of the book from Kahlan's perspective.
-The way he went into the sword fighting scene was really good. I had thought that Kahlan would still be bed-ridden, and then she's sword fighting! And then she "killed" Richard. Ha, good times...
-The "softer side" of Cara (ie, naming a fish)
-The way that Richard induced the sword's blood rage, and then gave it to Kahlan.

Thing I don't like:
-The fact that it looks like Kahlan is going to do exactly what she swore she wouldn't (fighting the Order).

I wonder if it would be possible for me to write my university thesis on "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want it to be true, or because they are afraid it might be true." ...?

probably. that would be kind of cool.
i like how that quote applies to various situations during the day, before reading the books, i hadn't considered it much.

I think most (or all) of the wizard's rules can be applied to life like that...

Alex, I'm curious... Is there supposed to be a wizard's rule in each book? That's what I thought it would be like in the begining, but I don't remember one for a few of them...

And www.terrygoodkind.com doesn't help. It gives the rules, and a page number. But it doesn't say what book. Since the rules are repeated in some books, I have no idea where they're supposed to be from.

And yes, Robbo, there's a rule in each book. The 1st Rule is in the first book, the 2nd is in the second, etc. I'm too lazy to dig them all up though

Here's what I think they should do...

Get Scarlet (or, if that was Scarlet's skelliton that Richard passed by, get her kid) to dump glass over the Order's troops. Simple as that.
