Sword of Truth

Post by Axtech »

Here's where I can talk about the Sword of Truth novels, instead of spamming....

Anywho, where I last spammed, I was mentioning the similarities between the witch woman's Samuel and LotR's Gollum. It's a little too similar...

But Richard's in one hell of a pickle. Save everyone, save the girl or take the chance of trying to do both, and either saving or losing both.

Yikes.

Would somebody be so kind to list all the books of the series in order? I can never quite be sure, because it doesn't say on the front of the book.

On my copies it does..

They're packed away, or I'd write them down for you.

I know the first is Wizard's First Rule.

I have no idea about the others. I'm still reading the first.

ask and ye shall recieve

Wizard's First Rule
Stone Of Tears
Blood Of The Fold
Temple Of The Winds
Soul Of The Fire
Faith Of The Fallen

the 7th one is still pending, i believe it's called Pillars of Creation. But it might be a while yet before we see it because goodkind took a little time off to write a short novel about Zedd's youth called Debt Of Bones. It's the onyl one i haven't read yet, mostly because i'm waiting for paperback since it's not worth paying hardcover price for a book that i'll finish in a day (*short* novel)

Yep. I listened to a radio interview with Terry Goodkind about a year ago on the "recent release of his lastest installment in the Sword of Truth series". You can go ahead and freak out and kill people if you want. I don't mind, you're nowhere near me.

Edit: it isn't in paparback yet though. I expect it in paperback in another few months. Maybe in time for Christmas.

Sweet Jesus!

Are you sure he wasn't talking about Faith Of The Fallen?

That's the only one i have in hardcover, and not by choice either since i hate hardcover. My parents knew i wanted it and showed up one day all like, guess what we got you!! and i was all, "oh... thanks!" trying to hide my annoyance that now i had this bigass mofo of a hardocver and no excuse to buy the paperback

Nope. It was PoC. And I hate hardcover. That's why I'm waiting the year it takes from hard cover to paperback before I buy it. Grrrrr....

No. The green cover is Debt of Bones. That's what happened before Wizards First Rule, and it's all about Zedd. I haven't read that one yet.

is it just me or would PTF really dig the chapters in FotF that deal with Richard and Sister Nicci in the Old World??

Right up his political alley!

Faith of the Fallen was awesome. Seriously. That, and the first book were the best ones in the series. But who's PTF?

You buy one hardcover and you're committed to the entire series in hardcover. That's fine for really good books, though. I'm buying A Song of Ice & Fire in hardcover, because they're so great. Anyone who likes Sword of Truth might like that series. Check out A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.

I have A Game of Thrones, and the sequel to it. I hear there's a third book too, but I don't have it yet. I haven't read them yet though. If you like Sword of Truth, I highly recommend The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. It's a nine book series (so far) similar to Sword of Truth. I'm on book 4 and I'm loving it.
