Ok I was just wondering what everyones opinion is of Greenwheel. I think they are awesome. I saw for the first time last week when they were opening for OLP and got to meet them and talk to Ryan for a bit. They are very nice and i was pleasantly surprised by their performance. I now have their cd and shirt. The cd is great. Everyone should get it. Yeah i 'm just a tad obsessed at the moment
I lovelovelovelovelove them. they're amazing. I saw them open for OLP on July 14th, and loved them after I heard just one song.
I ended up seeing them again in September - headlining at a tiny venue - and it was AWESOME. since it was their first night without Doug, they did some of the songs acoustic
the random Jeff Buckley cover during The End was a nice touch, too.
olpcc - you have the indie cd?! I've been looking for that EVERYWHERE. O_O
[quote="olpcc"]well this like the third greenwheel topic in this forum, but what the hell, i have seen them twice and have there indie cd which is awesome.
yea i actually searched here to see if there was one already started but couldn't find one so i just decided to start one. But yeah i really love the cd. 've only seen them once so far but hoping to see them again soon. They said they might start touring again after the new year.
I liked them for awhile, but it's not as if their music or anything they're saying is incredibly new or profound. They're doing the same stuff that's been done for five years, although they do it very well.
the part I enjoyed most when I saw them was their cover of Forty-Six & 2, and that's never a good thing for the longevity of a band.
They sound alot like this Montreal band that opened for olp at the last SS, there name is Rubberman, Greenwheel is like Rubberman + Matchbox 20

i'll admit the cd's really that special, but but they are truely amazing live when i got too see them headline they were awesome, maybe the best band i have ever seen live

a friend of mine sent me a few songs of thiers
greenwheel is amazing live.. the first night i just sorta stood there and listened and thought "wow.. if only THESE guys played the ACC show instead of fuckin noise therapy" heh
I agree, Greenwheel is amazing live. For me, they were a great opener for Our Lady Peace and blew Audiovent away completely.
