now that the wonderful future has been played...

ALL MY FRIENDS
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

Everyone's a Junkie... that song would be amazing live. There's so much energy in it - I think it's my 2nd favorite on SM.

Oh man, The Wonderful Future was soooooo amazing to hear live. That entire concert (Villanova) was just amazing. Raine sounded fantastic, I really don't understand why Jeremy said otherwise (Jer said that Raine was sick on the bus after the show, and I said, "well, he sounded great", and Jeremy kinda was like, "yeah, I guess...", meaning he didn't agree). Anyway, I wish we could've been in there for the soundcheck, cos I would've killed to hear Stealing Babies not muffled by the doors. Oh well. :)

Oh, and just you guys talking about hearing Waited live?

And, I get the impression the band doesn't like Blister, so I don't think we'll ever get to hear it live (again anyway... ever for me, cos I never got to any shows before August of this year). I say that because I've heard about Raine telling people they wouldn't play it, and when someone brought it up at Villanova to Jeremy, he said "no" and looked kinda mad that it was even mentioned... ?????? I wonder why. Anyone on here have a clue? I love that song.

thats kind of weird...Blister is by far one of the best OLP songs. and you're right that they never play it, even though everybodys always requesting it, but if they didn't like it, they probablyw ouldnt name an entire tour after it....im assuming they DID play it on that tour otherwise the name would be....out of place??
lol, maybe there are osme sore memories attached or osmething.....maybe raine and the boys will breakdown and cry if they play even one ntoe fromt hat song so they just stay away

yeah, maybe the song has some emotional implications or something. hmm. I would ask either Steve or Mike E about the song. Since they haven't been with the band very long, maybe they'll tell you the reason why they refuse to play it.

it was me who asked at villanova if they were ever going to play blister...hehe...maybe he's just sick of people asking.

they've played EAJ live before cause i've got a bootleg with it on it. it sounds great! i'm waiting for stealing babies to come back live, although it was satisfying at least overhearing it in soundcheck

I'd like to hear Is It Safe or Annie live. I think Is It Safe has so much power and depth that I'm surprised they haven't performed it live before.

seeing the wonderful future live seriously has made my life complete. The song was amazing. I swear it felt like it was only seconds long. We were screaming play it again and Raine went "Doo Dooo Doo" then laughed. It was great. They also closed with A Story About A Girl which wasnt on the set list and Jer promised me they would play it.

I have been asking for BLISTER for the last 1-1/2 years. I know that Steve knows how to play it. Mike E. doesn't. I didn't get that reaction when I asked. I think within time we amy hear it again.

You know what would really be cool is if they could do the rarities off each CD.

I want to hear some stuff live that I've never heard, Big Dumb Rocket, Is It Safe, 100 aisles, Annie, All My friends (probably that above all), Sell My soul and Sorry wouldn't be bad either

I wish I saw The Wonderful Future. That's my second favorite song, besides Blister, which isn't getting played. My reaction would have been the same as OLP playing In Repair and Automatic Flowers at the 9-18-02 show. I just flipped out upon hearing those, and I got all giddy....lol

I've seen Julia live, and I don't know why, but I really couldn't get into it. It was played great live, but maybe it was because Duncan wasn't there or something, but I didn't get much out of it.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
