Jenny O

8:08 pm sunday evening:
at this very moment , a very talented young artist from New York named Jenny O sits on my couch with her computer and guitar in hand. She is painstakingly fighting to solve the mystery that is her last unwritten lyric to a song titled "Mistakes ...

At the moment, I'm loving them all, but Angels/Losing/Sleep seems to have something extra for me. It may be a little on the long side, but that cadence...

I agree the review was pretty irrelevant. It seems to me that the shorter the review is, the higher the proportion of space spent on irrelevant details such as quoting the entire booklet. He has a point about the song length though, that's the one real aspect of the album which annoys me.

If you ...

I prefer Full Collapse to War All The Time, I downloaded them both in shitty mp3 format cos they dont sell their albums here. I like them, but they can get quite annoying after awhile, I usually get bored towards the end of albums.

The first time the powerchords hit in Starseed, always makes my hair stand up. I dont like the way its done live now, too fast. Im not sure how they used to do it but I dont like the way the new boy plays it at all.

Also on Not Enough, after the moshing bit when Raine starts shouting, what a bit.

4am has always reminded me of the Pumpkins, especially towards the end.

Ive played some songs of Naveed and Clumsy to a Pumpkins fan and he says theyre very similar, Raine's voice at times and the drum sound is almost identical. Ive also been told OLP borrowed heavily from the pumpkins early on ...
