gimme a good book you have read recently. I gotta do a book report and I need a book within the last 4 years (2000) that has won some sort of prize (pullitzer, nobel etc...) I thought some of you guys may have some good suggestions, so lemme hear 'em
Craptacular humanist novel by a die-hard feminist (from Kingston, no less). Won "The Roger Writers' Trust Fiction Prize". Horrible novel that was (likely unintentionally) symbolically good. We're over-analyzing it in my LitStudy class right now. Essentially we're looking for anything Humphreys may or may not have intended to put in the novel, that supports the theme that Humphreys may or may not have intended to make.

hmmm well if your looking for non fiction do "Stupid White Men" or "Dude, Where's My Country?" by Mike Moore. (waits for corey to shit pants)
or if your into lord of the rings type stuff, anything from the Forgotten Realms books are kick ass, esspecially RA Salvatore's work. They're fantacy but about 100x more exciting then Tolkien. Not exactly really great for a book report other then maybe RA Salvatores stuff

Read the recently released graphic novel compilation of the mini-comic series "Fray," written by Joss Whedon. I know that isn't even a real book, and don't have a Pullitzer, but it 'effin RULES. I ran across it yesterday, bought it, and have yet to put it down.
